*Me in german cammo jumps out of forum,jumps in mg fort hiding from Gauntlets writing critisim**see german in white right after russian winter*Soldier:yeah winter cloths..wth summer*dies of heat stroke*But some guy with a moo crate makes 40 of them in a base. Maybe a person carries the hole like a bush?

SwellickWrong. Russian infantrymen dig a foxhole the moment they are told to halt. US GI's dug foxholes right in the thick of it all the time. What would actually be cool though, is to give some armies unique stuff. Example: USA, Russia, Germany etc dig foxholes Japan deploys cammo

See that's why I say stuff like that, If I'm wrong someone will correct me pronto. Then yes, allow small fortifications within X meters of a squad leader's defend command. Would make defending a base actually possible now instead of ring around the flagie

hippies... lol the japanese used some holes too... anyway I'd like the idea of fox holes etc being made, or at least have more of them put into the map.

^^ yea that, infantery cover is to poor, think of RO, a tank has really some serious problems in that mod, to spot and kill enemy infantery

In BF2, infantry cover is excellent. Soldiers (if they try) can blend in with their surroundings very well. I had an instance where I actually tripped over an enemy sniper and we had a little pistol fight. Of course I won. ;)

I would rather have pre-determined (ie. map-maker-placed) foxholes/treches/defensive postions rather than player designated ones. This way the players already know where the battle is going to be most concentrated, and can participate accordingly to make said battle more intense and fun.

It is possible to create fox holes actually. The same way DC had the sandbags placed, FH could throw down a little peice of raised ground that perhaps you could crouch in. It would be more of a hollow mound than a hole, but it might work.
