In the Market Garden map there are twice as many german tanks as allied. Considering that the superior gunnery and armor of german tanks are accurately coded into FH, this makes it all but an impossible fight for the allied side. With equal number of tanks this could be a fun map.

Um, not really, i've won a lot of times as allies, especially when they get the typhoon. My suggestion: learn how to tank properly.

Ah, no, I will bet you have not won a lot of times as allies. Once in a great while you'll get a guy who knows how to shoot well in the Sherman Firefly. But 95% of the time its the german side dominating the map, team skill being equal.

BTW, where is a good place to get FH userbars?

Don't tell me what I know is true. The map is fine, you just need to not be retarded about how you play it. I play almost exclusively as Allied and we win as often as axis.

Market garden is very good balanced. Most of the times the Germans have a very hard time to cross the bridges. The main bridge can be easily defended by AT-infantry in buildings and engineers with satchels. The smaller bridge can be defended by the allied tanks. But don't face the Germans tanks straight on. you may win one fight, but you won't win 2. Hide behind hills or buildings and flank the German tanks.

But once they are crossed and cap some flag, the Germans have a bigger chance to win then the allies.

No I think the map is quite historically correct and this is what the devs have set out to do in the first place. Its not a fictional scenario where each side has even number of vehicles and similarly matched weapons.

After all the British paratroopers did drop on Arnhem with 2 SS panzer divisions stationed there for a rest and refit.

Perhaps you might like the vanilla version of Market Garden better.

I wouldn't say theres that much tank imbalance in Market. Sure, if you'd put both team in a desert with those tanks axis would win, but considering how the map is designed I'd say allies actually have an advantage.

The Fireflies are excellent, best tank destroyers in the game, and can kill the Panzer IV and III head on easily. I have defeated tigers from afar with it, its not so hard (and aiming with it is very easy, very little ballistic drop). Cromwells are excellent little tanks, they can destroy all axis tanks on this map and are lightning fast. The lone M10 is good enough agaisnt panzer IV and all heavier tanks if it flanks.

No, Allies have a good shot at winning this map, if they can get the typhoon up Axis can get in a situation were it has very slim chances of winning. Just hide behind a house and shoot tanks on the bridge, if they get pass, then flank them, theres plenty of room to do that. Use the entire map, not just the areas around the flags, you can circle them trough those hills and get behind them easily.

All teh Brits ahve to do is put the Firefly in a good position, have A/T infantry and other vehicles cover the other bridge and Typhoons pick off anything that moves.

I have been on Brit and German side many times and have seen both sides win. Just depends on the quality of your team.
