Not the medic thread again :P As it is, there wont be any insta res as there is in vanilla, you can get bandages, but thats about it. The medic can be handy, but he wont make a squad invincible :P As for the critically wounded thing, thats a server setting, most turn it off because it's annoying

The medic will never be Lazarus, stand up and walk in FH, but maybe in some future maps its role will be more interesting, North Africa is not so interesting for our madic kits, but in Bastogne?

I personally wouldnt mind the medics if A) they couldnt revive people to full health, no. More like to the point when they get revived they cant sprint and their screen is totally messed up with tinnitus going on. They would require another bandage to get them up and running.

B) the revive process wouldnt be a second thing. Not "click" and voila, guy is on his feet again killing enemies like he used to just moments before he got shot. If it was possible to have such a long "firing" animation and delay to the revival process that it would be over in a second. But this would be difficult to create I suppose. :(

C) Medics would be pickups and very rare. Maybe one or two per team on some maps. And again like Lobo said, North Africa doesnt really work well for Medics, but maybe Western Front, Pacific, some parts of eastern front...

And on the other hand, I've been fine without medics so far. I admit they would perhaps bring an element to the game just like the use of different types of weapons via unlockable system but we'll see...

The magic shock paddles are easily the most unrealistic part of PR. If you get shot in real life, you are out of the game, you won't be fighting the enemy anymore. Especially when you are "critically wounded". The medic will stabilize your condition and, if possible, you will be sent to an aid staton. Don't get me wrong, I would never play PR if they removed the medics, as it would simply be too frustrating. But FH2 is not PR and reviving has no place in its gameplay IMO.

Though I have to agree about the medic kits being useless as it is now.

the medic kit is so useless just because it carried such a crappy weapon and had to get the kit mostly from back bases. and well you know walking to front from base with a crappy weapon is not really likely to be easy.

if making it spawn in more "forward" flags i think there will be people using it.

IMO the medic kit is currently useless because no one worries about wounds unless they're bleeding, which happens somewhat rarely. On the other hand there are a lot of small nonfatal and non-bleeding wounds, for example from pistol rounds, shrapnel, white phosphorus, jumping from certain positions, running downstairs etc.

If health would influence gameplay (for example, less sprint/jump stamina, or less accuracy when not at max health) having someone at hand able to heal you would become more important. or maybe something like the reduced vision in FHT or FW for BF42 (Flippy will remember them).

This damn thread again? Hmmm, didn't we just have a long, long discussion about this same exact stuff?
