Nothings more fun than teammates yelling out MEDIIIIIIIIIIIC over the battlefield. (even the enemies should hear this, And I believe SANIiiiiiii! in German?) and you as a medic rushing over to the fallen teammate while under fire from all sides, explosions going off next you and whatnot and getting down on the ground next to the wounder guy patching him up while hoping some goddamned teammember is covering your ass.

Ooooh the rush!, yes I did present this a bit more epic than it usually goes but still :P.

Oh I would LOVE to have voice additions f.i. when you get hit or stuff.

IL2 Sturmovik had them and it was great but also freaky when you saw a plane go down and you heard the guy screaming.

I remember a game of project reality and they had a medic (which I played once) and it was just dumb. I would simply hide behind the hill crest and revive people that died. The game became very static.

I'm sure you do. However i, and alot of other people disagree with you. Medic adds something to the game. There are more then ENOUGH reasons to add medic to the game. As far as the reasons go, im sure you can read, sturmtrupp. Not going to post them another time, im afraid. Just read some posts. Not too difficult...

Yeah, keep the medic. Just give him a pistol with some clips, that's just enought for him to be able to defend himself, but doesn't make want to be the first one rushing for the flag. I myself think that medics should be able to both heal and retrieve people. Ofcourse not to the degree we see in BF2 where they can still save you if you here hit by an artillery round... E: And I myself promise not to shoot enemy medics if he is not shooting my teammates and I will give him atleast 2 seconds to stand back from the patient he just retrieved.:D

No! Even artillery kills should be no problem for the medics. Assuming artillery blows you in thousand pieces, the medics would just have to go and retrieve the entrails and such and then when he has filled his backpack he puzzles it together and voila, guys revived.

If you are critically wounded theres basically no hope for you, you're on a battlefield. The medic gives you morphine possibly, you die and respawn.

The medic class will be a little bit more realistic and fair as long as he cant heal himself at all, onyl aply his own bandages. i agree that the onyl weapon he should ahve is a pistol and also a knife to cut the bandages and defend himslf, maybe even a swiss army knif, as long as he ahs thosse to i will be hapy.

Lets have a special player class who only has a pistol, a knife, a pen and a pad of paper, so that when your nerfed-all-to-hell-only-got-a-freaking-pistol-with-one-clip-and-some-bandages-medic gets his ass shot off, this guy can write a letter to the family of the deceased, letting everyone know how bravely your pistol-waving-creation would have fought had he not wasted his only clip in the spawn area being a smacktard

The only reason the medic shouldn't have a decent weapon and therefore be combat effective is becuase they can heal themselves. By all means, take out the self healing and give them bolt action rifles with a million clips . Just don't give them both.

Then again, why would someone play the "average assault soldier" if the medic class would be the same thing except they can heal soldiers.

The last thing you want is a revive karkand IO fest where all it is, is one big orgy of revive and kill and nothing actually happens. If i take out a squad i don't want some bunny hopping dolphin diving medic to come and kill me with a rifle then go and revive all his team mates. What's the point, everyone would be medics, as they are in BF2 and it would be really...lame.

Do what you want it's your mod. I don't even see a reason for medics. There were like 1 for every 10 soldiers in WW2. Would you like to see all 32 of your team medics just because "it'z da easiest class 2 play az"
