'[tRMad Mac']It is an exploit, crosshair closing times on guns are there for a reason. You can pussyfoot around it all you want, but you are still exploiting a glitch in the game.

ill admit that i use it.....only with the AT weapons though...really and truely anyone that uses it with smallarms are sad and pathetic people. The AT weapons crosshiars still close to slow IMO. If there is a tank 15 feet infront of you....it shouldnt take 8 seconds to get the crosshairs closed so you KNOW where your shot is gonna hit.

I inadvertantly use it because I always have my pistol out when AT class (not to glitch, but to protect myself). Whenever I have to move with the primary weapon out, I always crouch and the spread isnt too bad. Like you, I never use it for machineguns.

BDNeon HOWEVER, the switch takes time and concentration, giving you a chance to kill the guy using this trick before he can even shoot. All it takes is quick reflexes. You see someone walking around with a knife, draw your pistol and kill him before he kills you. Simple, yes?

The switch takes less time (no idea what concentration has to do with it, I just push a button :D) than it does for the crosshairs to close. So yes, the guy with his gun out can shoot quicker, but the guy knife-glitching will kill you quicker. If the guy with the knife doesn't see you first, it doesn't matter what he's carrying. If you see each other at the same time, unless you hit the head with the first or second shot of your pistol, or you're at point-blank range) you're toast if the guy can aim at all. I don't use it with MG's, but I do with AT weapons (although I'm usually waiting for tanks to come along, as opposed to chasing them around, so I don't feel bad :D )
