I just got a mic and teamspeak. I'm hoping to join a clan and thats why i got them. Anyway, the mic doesn't work. It works on another computer though, so its not faulty. The other computer has a Audigy gamer. This one has an audigy 2 platinum. None of the recording software i have will get any sound from the mic. But, when i put the mic in the plug on the front of the computer and turn the volume up for it(yes, the mic port has a volume control) i can hear it through my speakers, but not anywhere else. I need help badly.

Open your volume controls. Then open Options, Properties, Under Playback make sure Microphone is checked. Then click "ok". Make sure the microphone is muted on playback... This will make sure it doesn't come across the speakers. Then go back to Options, Properties, this time click the Recording button and make sure microphone is checked and click "ok". Make sure mute is unchecked and the volume bar is at least above 40%.

What kind of microphone is it? Is it USB or just a microphone jack?
