What about a D-Day minimod, there were a lot of uniquenesses about that battle and alot of operations that went along with it
All I have to say is this.
'Freedom, boys! I'll see you on the other side of Pittsburg!'
Ah, a Southern Victory Fan. Nice.
I love Abner Dowling so much and want to have his babies. I love the description of him as a man who 'knew he would never be a great General, so strove to be a good one, and did very well at it.'
So many possibilities with a Dixan victory.
A) Flamethrowers, flametanks, and dare I say it, Flame-Planes? B) Anything about the Jaywick raids on Singapore.
Whatever happned to those lovely napalm dropping F4U corsairs...I'd love to have napalm dropping F4Us. I played this Russian map in FH over the weekend and it had a fighter-bomber which carried for some WIERD reason 180 bombs! and you could drop in rapid succession like a heavy bomber. The effect gave me an idea: I hate the napalm of BFVietnam and I know devs could do something a whole lot better. i wonder if they could consider the effect of a multiple bomb drop as reference: The feel of one ball of fire followed quickly by a couple others in a straight line, bits shooting out of it like a FH1 tank exploding except all in flame(i miss that effect)...That's what napalm looks like, right? I wonder though, wont a minimod be a bit more unique than a couple of new maps cuz to play one set of maps, you'll have to switch mod (And BF2 doesn't have the spiffiest mod switcher). Perhaps minimods shouldbe something else and not mappacks... Consider the old WW2 sound effect and texture mod for example :p
Not a mod of a mod, as they always end up being minority affairs, but perhaps similar to an earlier suggestion, a map pack which kicks off the Cold War in Berlin c.1945, with the Allies trying to prevent the Russians annexing eastern Europe.
Just think of all those neat toys that arrived at or just after the end of the war in Europe ... Pershing and Centurion tanks for example ... hmmmm
