As above. Would be useful to all players.

Perhaps an "A" symbol for crates, and the truck symbol with superimposed "A" for ammo trucks?

Play a map 5 times in multiplayer as infantry and go to as many bases and I'm sure you know where all ammo crates are.

I second this. On mareth line I was flying the other day. I stayed up for half an hour gunning down enemy planes. Well, eventually I went out of ammo and the allies took our air base, so I couldn't reload there anymore. Thus I had to search for ammo trucks/crates to fly over to reload. It was very hard and time consuming to find them.

By that logic, we should get rid of the flag markers, because: -they're easier to identify on the minimap: just look for swarming behavior of the players. -also, they are much more prominently displayed and more readily identifiable on the 3D view (the flagpoles).

Not to mention other stuff that is also more visible, such as vehicles, artillery pieces (!), etc.

The purpose of minimap markers is (apart from providing some information on the current status of the battlefield) to ease the process of getting acquainted with a new map, and to avoid the unnecessary waste of time devoted to make a detailed search for game-relevant objects.

I think you're overinterpretaiting some things. On the minimap there are shown vehicle that can be manned so you know if the team has an arty gunner and is there any point to give spots (f.e.). Adding more icons can make minimap more "spotty" and obstruct its essence. The dev's already minimalized the amount of flashy icons you can get on mini/big map.

No... I'm just pointing out that we don't have to add all extra bullcrap on minimap just for lazy players..
