A simple one here.. I was playing Bombing the Reich for FHSW last night and noted the hightened lighten and how brighter explosions and muzzle fashes were than in a day map. I wonder if this idea could be used to enhance tracers, the above mentioned 2 etc... For heavy bombing missions this would be tres cool - Not to mention the event of an airborne night drop and the snake-like lines of AA tracers...

I'm assuming your suggesting the Fh2 team brighten the muzzle flash on night maps? :confused:

was I that unclear? Yes, in night maps, the original glow of a muzzle flash, an explosion, tracers etc, is too low - So the devs of FHSW brightened them. Its so cool seeing the flashes from explosions far below etc... After seeing AJ51's Tobruk and Mersa, I realized the brighteners of the aforementioned could - And should, i think, be beefed-up some for all night maps...

I'm pretty sure the one FH2 night map we have currently, Raid on Barce, takes place during a full moon, with lots of lights around the buildings, so the flashes don't stand out as much.

But then again, it wouldn't hurt to lighten them a little, in lighted areas they will naturally become more muted...

I would rather have a few more flares. Perhaps one or two mortars on the map with access to a few different colored flares.

Flares are cool and all - But aren't that useful with the current lighten. Apart from the Night version of Tobruk, the night maps seem a bit too well lighted already. I would really love for the search lights to be a lot more effective - So much so that the level could appear practically black until you get hit by one of those - Or caught in a flare. I'd also wish that the flares could be shot out of the sky, and beams from searchlights to be able to reach high into the sky - Imagine being a pilot and getting caught in blindening light in a night raid map.... Operation chastise, anyone? And yes, I think we would appreciate the flash from guns and tracers alot more if they were as brilliant as those from FHSW's night maps.... Just picture two enemy armies moving in so close not realizing the other is next to them and someone suddenly opening fire and suddeny all hell breaks lose with flashes and a cacophony of sounds and then silence... The survivors not sure if those still standing are friend or foe...
