Is it possible to have a position the engine will recognize as the pilot's, but without the ability to control the sub? I've seen all kinds of stuff done to Battlefields engine, things that they said could never be done. Don't you guys remember Empires? With enough ingenuity, anything is possible.

I would like to see some improvements made to the subs, such as the mentioned addition of seats. Perhaps you can have a ladder down from the conning tower to a crew compartment? There you could have some "vehicles", which would be just one person seats in the sub that would recognize you as the pilot of them, but you would have no way to drive them around. Their entry points would be in the submarine, and their exit point would be on the deck. That way you could have people to crew the machine guns and antiaircraft guns and deck guns. Maybe one of the positions could spawn a life raft as the secondary fire too. A way to aim the torpedoes would be nice to have too, such as imitating their turning once leaving the tube by having them appear in front of the sub with a small delay after firing. More subs would be nice to have too, such as the Nautilus, which saw action at Midway. It was designed as a cruiser sub with a pair of 6" deck guns, and had four bow and two stern torpedo tubes. The English also had their own subs, although they weren't the best in the world as they could only fire their torpedoes in a straight line. I would love to see both the Type VII and Type IX subs for the Germans. Perhaps you can give them standard as well as FaT torpedoes. The FaT torpedos ran patterns; once they went out a certain distance and didn't hit something they would turn back one hundred eighty degrees and go back in a 500 meter or 1000 meter pattern, repeating this until they hit something. Maybe to model the trajectory for that, if possible, you could use something like a sine curve.

Anlushac11Apparently the bf engine wont allow the addition of other crew, once the sub submerges they drown.

no its possible, dcx has a sub that can be crewed. There is a little room you can sit in to. It would just be a question of seeing the DCX would share, I dunno maybe they would trade for it or just be nice enought to say.
