Abit IC7-G S478/800mhz, SATA - I875P, ATX,GbLAN,Dual-DDR,Firewire,Raid, S-ATA, Integrated 5.1 sound
Asus P4C800-E DELUXE S478/800 - I875P, ATX, Dual DDR, S-ATA, GBLAN, Raid, Integrated 5.1 sound
Those were the two I looked at when building my new system. Both have integrated sound though. The IC7-G is extremly overclock friendly!!
I take what n0e says way too seriously

Still though...this guy seems like an end user who won't be OCing, who will have no use for a RAID..I say he should go for a basic MOBO with an 8X AGP port, a few IDE/Floppy ports, some PCI slots and integrated sound...A quick search on pricewatch should find something to suit his needs...though he's never coming back...
dude check out albatron mobo's fast stable and easy on the wallet... i have one now with amd 1900+ chip and she runs great www.albatron.com\tw
willboyI am building a computer and want to put a pentium 4 in it and was wondering what motherboard i should put in???
heres one for you to try, try and FORCE an AMD athlon into a pentium 4 motherboard, should work theoretically... (sarcasm).. obviously get a p4 MOBO<>> ASUS Top of the line.
who has the chainsaw and a glue gun bet we can get it to work:naughty:
My personal pref: is AMD Athlon...Never failed me, very quick...Of course, what you will primarily use it for will depend on what type of video/sound cards etc.. you should get. I use it for gaming/work...Excellent performer!!!!!!!!!!!My specs are below: HP Pavilion a220n 2.08GHz AMD Athlon XP Processor(2600) 512MB DDR SDRAM 120GB DMA Hard Drive NVIDIA GeForce 4MX w/64MB DDR
what size is your tower? what specifications would you want? sata? dual channel ddr? things like that.
