i think it's a great idea! obviously, you won't want every jeep in every little infantry map to be factory-produced. But on large airfields and factories in large maps it would be a great strategic feature if properly balanced. The "reload" time just has to be the same as the regular spawntime for that particular vehicle. And yes, lock the spawners but not the spawned vehicles. Is it possible though that when a base is captured, the Axis factory is replaced by an allied factory or whatever? Another possibilty is to have such factories only for uncappable bases......this also prevents rampages with stolen vehicles in uncappable bases.

Its a great idea, in theory yes. But one if some smacktard afk's in that building? or some lame "tanker" decides he's going to sit there for 5 minutes so he can make the building spawn the king tiger?

Yes it would stop people from stealing tanks of their spawn points, but it wont work.. unless some-one smart has a solution for the above problem.

First of all these "factories" as I call them need not be any bigger than a bread box, you confuse the concept with the smokestacked static. And so what if an afk gets in one? 1- they will be tk'able standing there 2- it's only one "factory" of many, 5-10 of them. Hardly damaging to a team. There's no reason to have one or two of these. Let there be lots. No downside except for mainbase room and lag.

this would really be impossible to do because the devs etc and the FH team would have to re-code ForgottenHope i like the game as it is except it needs more tanks, weapons etc i know one game i play which is called Hidden And Dangerous 2 and you have to work as a team not as individuals also the tanks have proper crews like, Driver, Gunner, Main Turret, Backseat person, its really cool also i think it has a panzer3 in it too anyway this idea would be to impossible to do!

I play H&D2, H&D2:SS too :D

I know I'm just some crazy nut, and the world should hardly reshape to conform to my whim here. FH is very well established (and BF2 is just so many months away). Still...

I feel the idea has value and more positive points than negitive.

I would figure you could try this setup on one or two runways to give selectable loudout for aircraft (or a carrier) and see how it flies.

The vehicles themselves exist, would just need to code and skin a shack (signs advertising their abilities) with the proper values and of course about 10 years of bug squashing. Would hardly require recoding the game to do, at least for a test implimentation.

P.S. As for the KT camper... I don't know what to say, they're not really holding anyone up because there isn't a vehicle ready to fire so no one's missing out until it reloads. And every little jeep and such wouldn't need to be done this way, heck it needn't appear everywhere at all.

why don't the factories on each map make vehicles and planes like on Battle Of Britain map because if the factory gets destroyed the tanks or planes won't build so im thinking that if you have a factory you could just drive out a tank or plane that is available on that map like Battle Of Britain the factories will only make spitfires, hurricanes, jeeps, and halftracks and maybe some Anti-Air Vehicles too also el alamein is a decent level to try the factories out on because its big and loads of space for big massive battles one question though El Alamein that Dice did is totally unrealistic in real life el alamein was just a plain open desert with a railway running across it in the middle and allies and axis at either end so i think they should redo el alamein (sorry if i went a little of topic there) :)

I support this idea. Sounds like a good element to have for BF2 as well. That is, using this so called commander mode to spawn vehicles for the team to go out with.

Actually i totally agree with this suggestion because it will make gameplay more fun but just to make sure people dont go over the top on vehicles maybe just cut back on a few vehicles per-map like british can only build Matilda's,crusaders etc in other words only make them build units that were around in 1939 or somthing like that because who ever heard of a m4 sherman in 1940 etc it would make the game more historically accurate ^_^
