I know one thing that erks alot of people around here is how BF engine tanks as well as most vehicles always explode. I was wondering, is it possible for a vehicle to be rendered destroyed perhaps without the big boom at the end, simply switch to a model reflective of a inoperably damaged tank.

For example Sherman encounters panzerfauster. Panzer faust hits sherman. The tank is rendered "destroyed" by the effects of the crew dieing, equipment inside getting destroyed ect, but instead of a big boom, it just rolls to a stop with nothing more than a new damaged type model reflective of a panzerfaust hit. Even going further, could it be possible to code different destroyed models for vehicles? Like when a panzerfaust disables a tank, it looks alot different from the outside than when a 88 diasbles a tank. Or a tank that gets hit in the fuel may just catch fire or even "explode" in a way when ammo is hit. The same could be said for a jeep, plane, ect.

Finnally instead of teleporting out of vehicles for exiting, could it be possible for vehicles to have realistic "exiting" as in when you bail your tank, instead of appearing out side, you appear inside the tank and have to crawl out the hatch to exit. It's always been a dream of mine to zook a tank, then see a german come crawling out the smoking hull only to be mercilessly gun down by an allies thompson.:D And instead of catastrophically informing a player his vehicle has been destroyed, if he wasn't killed by the blast, perhaps vehicles would just shake violently for him fill with smoke or burn when appropriate leaving him to take a moment to figure he's in a posistion he doesn't want to be in.

I suggested this a while ago. The charred, "barrel-bent-like-a-pretzel "destroyed" models always made me want to vomit. The normal models and the destroyed ones should be very similar when it comes to polycount and texture detail, because im hoping that destroyed vehicles will stay put much longer than in fh2, like in PRMM, where destroyed vehicles are often used as cover for extended periods of time, without people having to worry about the thing dissapearing into thin air.

Tanks rolling on after being technically made dead, seemingly intact tanks with just a hole in the side to give away the damage, burning tanks, etc. Ah.. a man can hope.

Next to that i hope there is a exit delay for tanks, planes, jeeps, etc. So people cant bail in an instant, but dependig on the vehicle, taking seconds to dismount.

Yes if an animation isn't included I still hope there is a few seconds dely between pressing the exit/entrance button and acually entering or exiting the vehicle.

I also of course agree with the death animations needing more variety.

That'd be nice when certain vehicles time out they don't leap into the air with a tremendous explosion (like an unattended jeep) but simply vanish. I've been killed so much because certain things go boom when they shouldn't really.

Kinda reminds me of that one Band of Brothers episode, in Neunen where a Sherman is disabled and on fire but it keeps rolling until it's engine stops. Would be a damn neat effect.

The 13th RaptorTanks rolling on after being technically made dead, seemingly intact tanks with just a hole in the side to give away the damage, burning tanks, etc. Ah.. a man can hope.

With a bleeding, headless driver slumped over the controls, foot jammed on the accelerator, RAMPAGING ACROSS THE COUNTRYSIDE LIKE AN UNSTOPPABLE UNDEAD MONSTER, OH MY GOD it's just too horrible to contemplate.

Oh, and it'd have to be leaking Chunky Red Goo (tm) out the vision slits, for extra horror.

I'll anti-Fuzzy-machine you, you disrespectful little punk.

I don't know about teh exiting thing, I think it's fine the way it is - plus it would require too much work to make it look nice. The damage idea sounds very nice though, I hope it's possible to code.

Make it so you have to get out of the seat, open the hatch, pull yourself out, and jump off the tank and scurry away.

best possibility would be a nice animation for entering/exiting each vehicle type, but thats alot of work! an appropriate delay would work just aswell, although not as asthetically pleasing as animations are. :) If we are not gonna have animations... I would like for tanks entering/exiting, no materializing 3m off to one side nonsense, but you materialize on top of the tank over the hatch instead. Where you must jump down from and/or climb up to enter aswell, along with the appropriate before-mentioned delay. this might require adding the ability to climb the side of some tanks with built in ladder qualities somewhere. especially since FH2 tanks will be more realistically sized, and not scaled down like they are in fh1. :D and of coarse im really hoping for some interesting "vehicle endings" especially if they can be made to specifically fit the weapon been used on it. no more "one explosion fits all". it would be cool to be able to maybe tell what kind of vehicle destroyed the dead jeep ahead, under certain circumstances of coarse. but whether it was a 50cal or a tank round, it should be easy to spot the difference, imo.
