All that I ask is that they sound less like the sounds from "PONG" and Super mario brothers. I am really looking forward to some quaility small arms sounds. Also will there be a dynamic sound system? Instead of hearing generic background sounds played on a loop, will the sounds during the game reflect what is happening in game. Will we hear the echos of a firefight off in the distance or will we hear some generic background noise? Actual small arms sounds are more of a popping sound and not just some phoney synthesized garbage. This is what I am most looking forward to in FH2! :cya: :donitz:
This is not intended to be morbid, but I think these things would add to the realism of FH2. It would also add some uniqueness to our beloved mod! I would like to see the pooling of blood when guys die. (blood spattering if possible) Also, I think the sounds when guys are being hit or when they die are not enough. I think there should be more screaming and crying out in pain. It might cause your teammates to fight harder for eachother and it might increase the importance of medics in some psycological way!
It'd make me use explosives alot more often.
Is it possible to have limbs blow off due to artillery or grenades? Ofcourse this will only be possible when your health reaches zero. Otherwise you would not be able to fight and that would be no fun. So Only when your certainly dead. Just for asthetic purposes!
I don't think its possible on the BF2 engine... But thats just me with my limited knowledge of the game's innerds.
dude, theres a new soundpack for .7 some where and it makes all sounds more realistic
I didn't make it!
I think Kreuger is right but I don't have much knowledge of it either.
Anyone else findit ironic that Kreuger said "innereds" considering the topic:)
In any case, would dismemberment even occur with grenades? Just a question. I wouldn't like it if it drained the power of my already weak computer (min. specs on BF2). Although I certainly would prefer it to the Superman flying height of corpses in the BF series. That certainly always ruined the mood of the game.
Just don't go over the top though. Yes there was a lot more screaming than currently represented, but more people died in relative silence. So a leeeeeeeeeettle bit more screaming, but don't go over the top.
I'd suspect it could if it was very close. But, if i'm not mistaking, grenades usually are lethal because of the shrapnel more than the blast itself. But i'm not 100% sure.
