Why the hell not eh?
As far as I can see, the only reason infantry AT weapons have been overpowered is because of abuse of that damm aim bug. You know, the one where if you hold your pistol or knife the accuracy of your AT wep stay perfect? Yea, that one. Run up , switch to AT, pop. Same as with the MGs'.
In .5, it was more or less the same problem, except the accuracy of the round was always fine when running with it. The expanding crosshairs fixed that, except for the aim bug. This is why they were so damm good in .5! IMO not because they went too far or did too much damage, but because you could run around with them.
McGibs has alleady said the crosshairs will close a little faster when aiming AT weps (hopefully faster for the fausts than bazookas), but that aim bug HAS TO BE FIXED or it will still be FUBAR. It Should be so that whenever you pull out the bazooka/faust, the crosshairs should be Fully Expanded!
With that fixed, IMO the inf AT weps should be returned to more or less how they acted in .5, except for the crosshairs of course. Shoot nice and far, do a buttload of damage. If there are infantry hiding in a city with AT weapons aimed and ready, any tank rolling in SHOULD be raped.
It always ruins my image of the game when I see a faust or even bazooka lamely flying out for a shorter distance than I could throw a dead cat.
Agreed. btw, you'd be surprised how far you can throw a dead cat, if you grab it by the tail and spin it round and then release it you can throw it like 40m.
Just strap a couple sticks of TnT to it and you'll have all the anti-tank you'd want! Screw satchel charges.. c'mere muffin!
HAHAHAHA, I saw a vid with a cat being flung, poor thing it hit a building :(
