well.. frst off, theres one big thing that i really really hope is included in a future release of forgotten hope. NEW SOLDIER MODELS. i hope you guys realise that EA's generic models don't cut it. i mean, we only need three really, the United States, Soviet Union, and Germany, the rest i think are fine as their body proportions seem correct (please make sure to have correct headwear. insignia, and backpacks, pilotkas too!) new player models would add SO much to the mod..

the united states need correct clothing, the clothes that were light but made them look bulky. russians need trenchcoats, and germans need correct proportions. i seriously hope you have the will to include these!

another thing that adds atmosphere is ammo boxes, get rid of the crappy dice ones, put in some wooden beat up ones with german/allied army insignia on it. just seeing that would make a huge difference. hell i could model it myself and skin it, its so easy.

also, theres a few vehicles that just don't seem to make sense, like that hanomag hybrid, with the rockets, itt doesn't feel realistic becuse for one, ive never heard of it, and its rather silly. a historical perspective should be thought of more genericly. what i mean to say is that alter a vehicle so its realistic, say the hanomag and take of the back roof, so its realistic, but don't go making more versions of it, because, probably, a german soldier probably never even saw a hanomag with the rockets on it. i can understand battle-specific vehicles, but since maps are based on battles that raged for miles and with many groups of infantry, it doesn't feel historical. please stick to the basics.

- one note on tanks, for added atmosphere, put a sandbag or two on the shermans. as they carried troop supplies sometimes.

im also very interested on how mods like battlegroup 42 and finn wars have a feature were bombers of planes fly over head, god, so much atmosphere can be added if you found a way to adopt this. please look into it.

i have some ideas for maps, and then im done ranting.

1 - make a new bocage, listen to people, its in dire need. 2 - night paradrop map (d-day?) people want it. 3 - a b17 bombing raid map, the allies fill up the turret positions on a b17 and the b17s take off to bomb a factory. (make this at night for even cooler effect). guarded by two p51s or something, they have to get past flak defenses (flakpansers and tracers at night =) while also being intercepted by groups of german ffighters (where the turret gunners come in) 4 - fix the lag on atlantic, such a great map idea, but so laggy!

yeah i think im done, developers, please consider these things, i know its alot of work, but little details really really help.

ths stuka zu fuss was produced in large numbers, and thinking that it didn't exist because you never heard of it is somewhat ignorant. as for the rest of your map ideas, they've been discussed ad nauseum so paste in any reply from those threads here.

Earlier ximonsaid: well.. frst off, theres one big thing that i really really hope is included in a future release of forgotten hope. Being worked on. the united states need correct clothing, the clothes that were light but made them look bulky. russians need trenchcoats, and germans need correct proportions. i seriously hope you have the will to include these!

Being worked on

another thing that adds atmosphere is ammo boxes, get rid of the crappy dice ones, put in some wooden beat up ones with german/allied army insignia on it. just seeing that would make a huge difference. hell i could model it myself and skin it, its so easy.

Judge pretty much nailed that one dead on.

- one note on tanks, for added atmosphere, put a sandbag or two on the shermans. as they carried troop supplies sometimes.

Being worked on. Properly modelled Shermans are supposed to be coming in near future. Sandbags, wooden timbers, tank tracks armor, etc. would be nice but they have to bemodelled onto the vehicle, I think.

im also very interested on how mods like battlegroup 42 and finn wars have a feature were bombers of planes fly over head, god, so much atmosphere can be added if you found a way to adopt this. please look into it.

Those planes require models and CPU power to run the AI. How about getting on a server like Wolf or BFE so that when teh planes fly overhead you can call themf or air support.

i have some ideas for maps, and then im done ranting. 1 - make a new bocage, listen to people, its in dire need. 2 - night paradrop map (d-day?) people want it. 3 - a b17 bombing raid map, the allies fill up the turret positions on a b17 and the b17s take off to bomb a factory. 1) Bocage - Being worked on.

2) Nightime airborne drop. - Being worked on.

3) B-17 Bombing raids. - Very Very few B-17 missions were flown at night. A Lancaster would be better for night missions. If done right could be interesting, but the idea has been brought forth many times. It is not a new idea.

4) Atlantic - Being worked on.

yeah i think im done, developers, please consider these things, i know its alot of work, but little details really really help.

If you poke around a little you will see all of this has been brought up before. Repeatedly.

Making new player models is extreamly hard with the BF engine, and even more so because we lack a person who can correctly animate them. So, we're trying to do the next best thing, which is to give them the correct equipment, and uniforms. Germans will have thier correct assualt harness in .62 (thanks to yours truely) and other nations will have historical combat gear in time (maybe for .62 if i get around to it).

New ammo boxes will also be modeled eventually for each nation.

Just because youve never heard of a vehical, apparently they did not exist, or wernt realistic? Please, do some research before you make this kind of comment. http://images.google.ca/images?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=stuka+zu+fuss&spell=1 These hanomag variants were very common.

Most of your map suggestions have been made, and are likely being developed. American b17s never flew at night as well. That was the british job.

Honesty, I would rather have all the fun stuff like new guns and vehicles and maps than new player models. Sure its cool, but it doesnt detract from game play as is...

BTW, that night raid mission sounds cool... It could be what Battle of Britain never was...

Actually if you could give the German nachtjagers airborne search radar like the destroyers have sonar that could be very very cool, and give the back seater the rear firing guns and the schrage Musik to fire.

And to counter the Nachtjagers give the Allies Mosquito bomber escort nightfighters. Germans on teh ground could get 88's and flakvierlings. I wonder if searchlight beams could be modelled? probably not since BF doesnt support dynamic lighting.
