Ok, I thought about this while posting in another thread and decided to make a topic with more detail. My Idea is to have a single Battleship (deciding either the bismarck or IJN Musashi) with about 30-35 AA positions available. Then the other team has 1 or 2 unmovable carriers (like Coral Sea) that continuously spawn Torpedo planes (and Dive bombers if you use the Musashi for the battleship). The Battleship is movable until it takes about 2%-5% damage (simulating a damaged shaft or something) This is to stop the Battleship from camping the Carriers. I was thinking making the tower position (the position used to move the battleships ATM in FH) have a radar effect to to increase teamwork for TS groups like Wolf. To my knowledge, radar wasnt on the bismarck or musashi but it can be a stand in for RL spotters that used Binocs. Anyways, any comments would be appreciated and I could make a layout if wanted. I suggested a similar map to this ealier only it was on the bombing of the Tirpitz

It could make a good objective map, although I would suggest having something more then just AA for the axis

I had one version of a Tokyo Express map but ditched it until I can do a better version.

Any of the night battles in the Slot off Guadalcanal would be good. Several involved joint US and RAN ships, usually with bad results for the Allies due to Jpans excellent night fighting experience and kick ass "longlance" torpedoes.

Brits versus Italians in Med, Battle of Cape Matapan

First Battle of Narvik I think it was which pitted several Brit destroyers versus several German destroyers.

Major fleet type Naval engagement. Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy scored a major victory over the Italian fleet. Several Brit ships had radar, none of the italians did. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Cape_Matapan

First Battle of Narvik was sort of undecided but the Brits definately gave out more than they took. 5 British Destroyers versus 5 German Destroyers. Two German destroyers sunk, rest heavily damaged, 6 other German ships sunk. British lost 2 destroyers, rest damaged. Both the British and Germ,an commanders were killed.

Second battle of Narvil was the RN Battleship HMS Warspite, and 9 destroyers with air cover from the carrier HMS Furious. Against the Brits were 8 German destroyers and 2 U-boats who were virtually stranded from lack of fuel.

The results this time were definately in the Brits favour.

Hmm, another, slightly different idea...

On November 11, 1941, a large number of Fariley Swordfish torpedo planes launched an attack on the Italian navy while it was still in harbour. The first flight flew high (for a Swordfish) and dropped flares to illumniate the fleet. The remaining flights flew in below the maximum depress level of the AA guns and dropped their torpedos, sinking or disableing much of the Italian navy.

The Swordfish would take off from the HMS Ark Royal (not sure if this was the exact carrier used, but a lack of others forces this to be used) a good deal away from the ships. The Italian navy should be stationary, as how this is a Peral Harbor-esque attack. You could use Eugens and Tirpitzes as the main objectives, with some destroyers in the background. To add to the visuals, some random AA fire coming up would look nice too.
