Was never used in combat, there were other X-plane types that I would rather see like the P-80 Shooting Star, F8F Bearcat, and A-1 Skyraider.

The Skyraider in wwII? in Vietnam it was a ground attack aircraft, how are its fighter capability's compared to other planes in wwII?

Well not IN WW2 per se, but they would have been in invasion of Japan. The A-1 was not designed to be a fighter, it was a attack aircraft that was designed to replace the TBF Avenger, the SB2C Helldiver, and could carry as much and as varied an assortment of weaponry as the Corsair. Also incorporated in to the design was 4 years of combat damage reports so it was built to be tough.

Yuck yes, but damn it was great. Nearly impossible to put into a spin. It had a top speed near that of the Me262, and could fly amazingly slow as well. It also was capable of near VTOL takeoff and landing. The funny thing was, the USN was on the brink of ordering before it cancelled favoring the Panther jet.

Annonymous, you are not one to complain about posts.

Oh, and Anlushac11, I agree, the Bearcat would be nice. Maybe after FHF (FH Final) someone will make a good Alpenfestung kind of map for the Pacific theater.

Well, that was random... At least I don't suck at it, like some people I know. (Shoots steely eye glare at Run 4 Da Gun).

Operation Coronet!! That would be cool, trying to defend Honshu in my trusty A7M Reppu (I don't load fast enough to get the J7W Shinden :D)
