StrangerThanFiction The bagel shaped flamethrower might be a possibility, I will leave that to Taranov to decide.

I guess we'll need a pacific map with the British then;)

but cant we have you be able to "gas" something first, then light the gas with your flamethrower. No, i didnt get this idea from a movie, ive actually read about his tactic.

they had a mybusters episode on someting like this. They debunked that Firing a bullet through the gas tank of a car causes it to blow up. Nothing happened. I think they even used a 50 cal and nothing happened. Not sure about the 50. though

A car gas tank isn't a flamethrower gas tank. ^^ maybe we should all send letters to MB all at once and maybe they'll think a decent number of people care.:D

They did have a show on MB about it and sniper bullet can't make the tank go BOOM!

What kind of container it is is irrelevant. A bullet that penetrates a Car gas tank I think will also do the same for a flamethrower gas tank. In anycase, combustion did not occur with the bullet-gas system. Perhaps if a bullet was fired at the firing nozzle as the flamethrower was being used......I think that would do it

1. It's not the container. A car uses gasoline (yes, that stuff that you have to put into the car and pay $3 a gallon). A flamethrower uses flammable gel that ignites very easily, burns for a long time, and burns hot. Plus it sticks. So there's a big difference here. 2. Naw, I don't think so. The problem still remains of why will a bullet make it blow up? It may cause a leak in the back of the hose. It may cause the hose to become clogged, in turn causing a backfire. But again, like you said, a bullet in a tank of gas may not really do much.

I just hope fire will KILL things in FH2, instead of hurting people a little. I'd say that being covered in sticky burning liquid is pretty deadly, it should be a instant kill if you are hit by, or close to where the "flametrower" projectile hits. This would make it more usefull weapon, instead of a "lollerz i'm burning stuff but am hardly effective OMG" thing.

One more time:

-there is no known instance of a flamethrower exploding on someone. -there is no known possibility of a bullet or explosion igniting a flamethrower.

I actually went and researched this; if you do a bit of searching you'll find links to pages and books that confirm this.
