Are we going to see the NO.1 as well as the No.4? they were both used in massive quantities by common welth and BEF. because personally i like the No.1 better, not that it matters. lol

if its possible, when the brits spawn, they could spawn with the other rifle every-other time.

also, i know this is kinda far off, but on a battle of britian map (if included) and if there are british soldiers not just airmen, i think they should be modeled after the home guard. young boys, and old men, armed with the old P-17s. just a thought.

Why? They're pretty much the same, my grandpa has one, and, by the way, there's no randomization code for spawning with different weapons from the same kit.

Or you could have the No.1 MK III spawn as a pick-up kit.

Thats not the point, they look cool and will have british equipment buffs feeling warm inside.

Except that they were used more by the colonies than the Brits with their no.4. Hell let's just model every variant of every gun let's all feel warm and fuzzy inside.

now thats just not true. the was almost entirly equiped of the BEF had them in france. the No.4 was used used more after the normandy invasions. not to say it wasnt used earlier both were used extensivly in aftica, italy, and france (44 on). however the No.1 was used almost exclusivly in the pacific (along side the No.5), and w/ the BEF in 41.

besides. i wanna feel warm and fuzzy

the n°4 only really appears massively end 43 at the beginning of the italy campaign. Otherwise the most common british rifle in north africa is largely the n°1. But don't worry mc gibs is planning to do it (or perhaps he already did it but there is already a topic about that). The p17 as sniper would be great also ! (used until having massively the n°4)

hehe.. I've suggested this befor, and I've heard that it's on McGibs todo list :)

Well.. maybe thats not totaly needed, but perheps the rifles that were used in some extent, like for example the No1 MKIII :P

No4 MkI was approved for production in 1939, and in june 1941 the production started with 25 rifles at Maltby. And like Seth_Soldier pointed out, it wasn't until in the end of 43 it was handed out in some massive numbers. Seeing as the Desert war ended in may 1943, I'd doubt that the No4 saw much action in the desert. :p

im all for this, if for nothing else, than because it has a gloriously large bayonet. besides, the germans already have two LMGs in FH2 and in FH1, to set a precident, the brits have 3 mgs, japanese 3, not to mention other redundant models.

cheers, Kading
