mach1muscle351Another possible Pro would be that it could require the need for Troop Transporting. Idk bout that one though. Fh2 would need to make the trucks or halftracks a tad funner to be in.
Full FH trucks = Juicy tank targets. They'll never be fun to ride in.
I'd like to see this feature on a few maps. Make the flag really worthwhile to defend bleed-wise and give a safeish route for troop transport to arrive.

That's why 'our' tanks should be covering them instead of rushing for the flags.;)
And that wont happen, so relying on trucks to ferry the team back and forth is a poo idea.. sorry. :P

...and getting owned by infantry :uhm:
I'm all for non-spawnable flags or flags with spawns not next to flags (in specific levels and flags that is). There's only one thing... and that's defence. A good example of a not working defence is the middle flag in Charlie Sector. If USA gets the axis base, Germans who spawn in the middle usually have no intention on defending the flag, because they usually spawn 100m away from it. Only when the flag gets grey people get a bit more interested in checking the situation.
Same goes for Pavlov; only few bother to climb up the stairs and defend from upper levels, near the flag
Maxa...and getting owned by infantry :uhm:
If your tanks will moove with infantry enemys won't own you because you will overpower them with firewpoer and tactical advantages. Anyway, like I've said, spawns away from falgs work pretty well. But no spawns at all should be used only if realy nececary. The part that you can spawn and defend a flag is part of the bf games basic settings. It's not a fully realistic game, you die alot. Thans to those spawns fights are more dynamic.
Covering or escorting just plain doesn't work in FH. But people might get used to using a transport truck if it wasn't COMPLETE suicide every time.
For me it proves to be very useful almost all the time. It is suicide if you're trying to get a protected flag by driving the truck right into it. Use it rather to get near the falg, stop behind cover and engage on foot.
Well, flags as such as poo. You have an artificially static objective, and the enemy, unlike in real war, will always know exactly where you will be going--the only variables being what direction you'll be coming from (and even then he'll be pretty sure.)
Commander-deployed spawn points and/or staging areas, as well as having to bring up reinforcement, plus a different objective mechanism from static flags would go ages towards this.
I don't like people spawning at objectives as they currently are implemented either, but as some observant person said, getting rid of being able to spawn @ a flag would carry a whole lot of other implications for gameplay with it that'd have to be pretty thoroughly tested.

i fully agree, I would support ditching flags (as said in several other places it either needs to be a custom area to defend of any given shape or size OR it has to be taken to a level where you fight purely over ground all over the map *cough* see my suggestions thread in ground control dominance rather then flags *cough*.
Soldiers shouldn't be spawning at the front but rather in a base or perhaps from a squad (to make up for the fact that platoons, brigades, entire armies did not consist of only three-five platoons each havin two to four men). using a tent, or truck (squad leader in transport vehicle makes it an active spawn point for that squad. Now if flags where ditch all together and dominance of terrain was over a larger area where he with the most power controls it (no more lone rambo graying a terrain full of enemy tanks) that would totally rock.
I can only dream though, it would be a wet (FH) dream come true. :(
