I know that there are some of you hiding on these forums that are alot like me; that if the player base had never been an issue, we would've loved to see the devs work slow and perfect the North Africa campaign to its fullest FH2 potential (which hopefully it will be later on). So to those few people who share my thoughts. Tell me... What else would you like to see added on to this North African Theater (when or if the devs decide to do it)? This is more of a "wish-list" than anything because I doubt the devs will even want to complete any of this. But any maps, weapons, vehicles, armies that you would like to see added onto the North African Theater... let me hear it. I personally have a few things that I would love to see FH2 develop that would make this African theater truely amazing: Obviously the landings of Operation Torch would be welcome: The American army fighting through the airfields held by the Vichy French and into Tunisa to defeat the Germans (With a fully functional Vichy French Army and weapons, uniforms, and vehicles of their time). Obviously an American and British Tunisia campaign to go along with that... and maybe an American Smith and Weston Revolver (if they ever used them at that time I don't know). And speaking of French, I would like to see a map dedicated to the Battle at Bir Hakiem with a free French army for it. I would also like to see maybe an Operation Lightfoot night map: showcasing the large artilery bombardment that took place that night, and the British Infatry's fight to clear through the German Devil's Garden and let the tanks pass through. A Pattern 14 sniper rilfe for the Australians if they are ever added. An Indian player model... and maybe, just maybe, a Creatian civilian player model for the Invasion of Crete map... complete with a pitchfork and molitov cocktail :D And a South African player model, or even a whole new army for the Inner Tobruk map that might be in the patch. Some Italian battleships for a possible Battle of Cape Spartivento or a Battle of Cape Matapan... and if possible, a Raid at Taranto map. Maybe it could be objective based, I would def like to see more objective based maps in North Africa. And also maybe a Fort Capuzzo map. And maybe even a middle eastern and eastern African campaign to round things off. So tell me what you guys wish for in North Africa :)

I wish for more vehicles in the North African front as well as other factions like the US.

Yeah, the French are a must for both Operation Torch and a thorough Tunisia campaign. I wouldn't expect to see them anytime before FH2 moves on to the early European theater though, mostly since that's when all the French equipment will be made. Their arsenal would be a little different than the metropolitan French though.

-MAS 36 rifles were rare in the North African Army (although not non-existent). The Berthier 1916 was used (like in the majority of the metropolitan army in fact), although a large number of Lebel 1886 M93 rifles remained as well. Since the Lebel 1886 M93 was also the grenadier rifle, it's pretty much a must.

-MAS 38 submachine guns were almost non-existent. Any that were used would have largely been for testing purposes. The French also had a small number of 1928 Tommy guns stored in North Africa that were taken out and used for the Tunisian Campaign, as well as a small number of the relatively unknown French 1924 9 mm STA submachine gun. The exact numbers of MAS 38, 1928 Thompson, and M1924 STA submachine guns that were used is unknown, as the French basically used whatever they had stockpiled over the years, and SMGs were largely lumped under a single classification with handguns and relegated to a low level of importance. Due to the critical shortage of SMGs, the main Vichy North African Army unit (XIX Corps) in the Tunisia campaign was given about 3,000 Sten submachine guns by about March 1943.

-The Renault D1 tank was used in the Tunisia campaign, where it was a major tank for French forces (compared to its almost non-existent role in the 1940 campaign).

I would also expect to see the full implementation of the Italian army (including voices), although I think that will be accomplished much sooner. I'm still thinking the next batch will implement more of the Italian handweapons and equipment, as well as hopefully their full uniform. Besides the British and Germans, the Italians are the most important force in North Africa.

In terms of the British Commonwealth, Australians and their hats are an awesome must eventually. Indian and New Zealand troops would be great as well.

Well, you know how long it took to get Aussies in FH1 :P But I'm sure once they make the French/US for normandy/early western europe, they will go back and put in the units/make makes with them (hopefully :P, but not on the top priority list)

"early Western front" ~= Battle of France? The Panzerfaust was not available until much later, I think.

Yeah...I think he misread.

And man, it would have been so cool if the FH devs had done it chronologically. First Poland, then Scandinavia, the low countries, France, battle of Britain, Africa/Balkans....
