The 3" mortar carrier.

http://www.armourinfocus.co.uk/ucarrier/

The mortar was carried on hte back and the crew hopped out and set it up, but for FH it could be mounted on back of vehicle for mobility purpose.

Or maybe the carrier can deploy it the way the other APC's deploy MG's but it would need to be retrievable.

Do they set up the mortar inside or outside the Universal carrier? It looks like they set it up on the ground outside of the carrier. If thats the case then it wouldn't be much use in the game if you couldn't reattach it to the carrier.

well it could just deploy mortors, which would still be pretty handy. I think I would want to see a better aiming system for mortors though, as they are now its very hard use them effectively.

M3 Grant/Lee is modelled and as far as I know is skinned. Not heard anything on the M5 Stuart.

As for the M3 Halftrack being more important why would you think that? The Universal carrier was the Brits equivalent to the jeep and it is not in game. The US has the M3 1/2 track, the M4 1/2 track with mortar, and multiple jeep models. I see no reason why the Universal Carrier should not be in game.

how many universal carrier models were made? apc, mortar, any aa? and A.T.? because half tracks are so useless. shouldnt they come first to make them acualy usefull? if there were models in AA and A.T. then it would be usefull. because i have not seen an AA halftrack preferable the M16, and an A.T. halftrack? I mean i got nothign against the little thing. This is so far the only thing i found right now i am searching for and Artillery halftrack and some universal carrier pictures.

The US, Germans, and Japanese already have APC's in game. The Brits do not, they have to use the US 1/2 track. The Bren was as common to Commonwealth forces as the jeep was to the US.

No one is saying that the US should not get the M3 GMC, M15 GMC, or M16 GMC in game but the Bren was the Brits most common vehicle and they figure on quite a few maps as well so it is fair to give tehm the Bren and do the US GMC versions later.

Usefull and needed? Mortars are so crappy so I can't see how. I found a page with some variants though and indeed there is a version with the mortar mounted on the back, in this case Australian. 3inch_1.jpg 3inch_2.jpg However if you notice it's not the same as the FH Bren carrier; there is no bren mount in the front, the chassis is sloped there instead. There is a bren mounted in AA position though. It's more obvious if you compare with this pic1.jpg This one got a lewis (not the FH aircraft version) mounted in AA position aswell. THis one would be most usefull I'll wager, the 2-pounder carrier 2pdr_front.jpg 2pdr_back.jpg 2pdr_1.jpg2pdr_3.jpg

Ooohhhh...I really like the 2lbr version.

The US 1/2 tracks had a version for almost every purpose as did the Germans.

APC version Mortar carrier version 105mm howitzer version 3" 76.2mm) A/T version 2 different A/A version that I am aware of.

Germans had a model of Hanomag to match the US halftrack versions and many more different ones.

Anlushac I think the US had three AA versions. The M13 had a dual mount 50 cal instead of the quad on the M16. And the M15 was the 20mm one right?

Also if any Bren carriers are made to have the 2Ib on the back they should be rare. Would be cool for Supercharge or something though.
