Hi I downloaded the latest nVidia Driver Pack (ver. 53.03), and installed it, hoping it would improve the performance of my GeForce TI 4200 AGB 8x however, the framerate didn't change. so far, no problem, but when booting and starting windows, when loggin in, there is allways a short black flash on the screen. the screen is black for like 0.3 seconds, but that's irritating. should I install my previous driver again or search other drivers or shoudl I just not give a fuck about it?

Don't give a fuck. I get that before it displays the login screen, it's normal.

before I get the login screen, there are many sequences with black screen for me :uhm: I'll try not to give a fuck, but I'm just worried, some months ago, I had that too, and once, it crashed my comp :uhm:

i dunno. I'd try reinstalleing the driver, or see if there is another, more recent one (if you care SO much :)).

you could do what i do: Turn on your compouter when you wake up, go eat breakfast, then come back. That way you wont see it. If you have XP you could try to rollback your driver.

It's applying your custom display settings.. that's all. screen flashes are normal.

I didn't like the 53.03 drivers too cause it caused STOP errors to appear in games :( such as BF
