One thing i noticed while playing crete is how nearly impossible it is to predict the horizon of a plane (keeping the plane level). Because of the complete featureless sky of crete, it is difficult to make turns, to dive and keep a smooth dive. Most of the time because i can't orientate myself i fly upside down, just get lost in the sky. Maybe it just because of the low grafics i have but this is extremely annoying.
Second some canon sounds are just to whimsy, especially for the 88 and the marder 3 you would expect a more beefy sound.
And last i am wondering how the map gazala is going to play after the patch 2,15 because of the upgrade of the grant to the m2 canon. Because most of the axis tanks are italian with a 47mm canon, which already has a hard time tackling the grants side armour. So i am wondering how the play testing of that is going.
Maybe working flight indicators can solve this? Please? :)
Playing as a squad of crack semovente commanders will be even more exhilarating now that the grant can one shot them even more :p.
virtual horizon is planed i think there are even pictures of it somewhere in the forums however the model i remember from early betatesting was ugly compared to the rest of the cockpit and it wasnt working so well IRRC
i know the problem on crete try keeping a level flight try using the external camera even if it is only backwards it helps
Yeah that is what i try to do now. With f11 (looking backwards) keeping a steady climb until the airfield starts disappearing than make a turn and try to see the a haze in the distance you can use as horizon. But it is still difficult to maneuver after that.
as for gazala there should be some mobile 88 or HEAT for the Italians.
I hope the axis get another bf109 on Gazala. The allies always seem to have air supremacy, because their hurricanes can both attack tanks and can dogfight, so they get like 3 dog fighters while the axis only get 1 dog fighter and 2 bombers, which are defenseless after the bf109 is taken down. If this was more balanced, by adding another bf109, allied tanks would have to fear the stukas.
Im telling you, a couple more semoventes and they would be unstoppable. They already die in one shot, so it's not like the gun upgrade will affect them, but with the added numbers, they will be able to successfully ambush the Grants.
I find that unlikely, the allies have already more grants than there are Italian tanks and you need a 2 to 1 advantage in numbers. But even then i find it unlikely that the Italian tanks will kill the grants given the ineffectiveness of the 47mm gun.
Meh, until they happen upon an organized squad of Grants that is :D.
I hope the unannounced vehicles they're adding (as was mentioned in the interview) is the Semovente 75/18, with more 75mm axis tanks on gazala it would be more balanced out. The model from FH1 is already in high enough quality for FH2.
