Anlushac11Sure, Im constantly getting killed by people sniping at rifle range with the PPSH.
1945 Soviets vs. Japs could be good.
Soviets get T-34/76, OT-34, BT-7, and US M3 halftrack.
Japs get Shinhoto Chi-Ha, Ha-Go, and should get a Ho-Ni tank destroyer to counter the T-34's.
Air battle should be Ki-43 vs. Yak-9 (Ki-43 is suposed to be a WIP).
This sounds like a formula for Japan getting raped. Their small arms suck, their large arms suck, and they're on the offensive so no stationary emplacements. Japan dosent stand a chance without a seriously large amount of new vehicles to fill gaping holes in what they have now.
PPSH and PTRD vs. Japs? Come on, they don't have a CHANCE. Japs need less recoil on their Type96 (it was only 6.5mm anyways) and a type100/type11 SMG, as well as their Type89 medium tanks and some of their armored boats/light tanks/tankettes.
Hell, just give them an offshore Yamato ready to rain holy destruction down upon the Russians. We can pretend it was supporting the operation ...
I would like to see Kurile Islands as a map.
Type 11 is still a worthless lmg from 1921 not a smg... but you guys forget one thing a couple of 75mm type 88 guns in defensive positions would be just as good and probably better than Pak40's
The Red BarronHell, just give them an offshore Yamato ready to rain holy destruction down upon the Russians. We can pretend it was supporting the operation ...
And maybe even the Panther the Japanese bought but that never left Germany...
type11 lmg is impossible to add in FH it have no ammo box it need a extra soldier to press in many many 5 round ammo clip(which use by type38 Arisaka rifle)
Well, I don't know about the accuracy of the equipment in the original Hailar map, but the ass kicking the Japanese got was apparently pretty accurate, so FH got that right (though it wasn't much fun)
The Soviet campaign against Japanese-held Manchuria, Korea, southern Sakhalin Island, and the Kurile Islands in 1945 was a short, one-sided campaign in which the Red Army decisively defeated the Japanese forces. Subsequently, Japan was pushed out of mainland Asia, and the Soviets acquired southern Sakhalin Island, the Kurile islands, and installed a friendly regime in North Korea. From a military perspective, the Soviet attack on Manchuria illustrateded the development of combined arms op- erations in World War II, and showed how the Red Army had developed its doctrine, upgraded its equipment, and produced a capable corps of senior officers. The Japanese performance in this campaign reflected a lack of such developments. Fur- thermore, the Kwantung Army's equipment shortfalls showed how Japan's defense industries could not supply its needs, espe- cially with their dependence on foreign sources of critical raw materials.

This is not truth, Russian and Japs fiight hard on the island of shumshu, at 165 heights and 171 heights from 0600 to 2000. The height ground had retaken for 3 times. Even Russian took the beachhead, the Japs still control two fortress, Japs' artillery still can fire to the russian transport ship. This made Russian only landed 10 gun at that night. until 19th morning, Russian destroyed those fortress with the support of air force. And the Japs started counter attack. But they finally surrender when they got the order from the 5th Army The Red Army cannot kick Japs' ass onthe Kurile Islands was because of Russian pacific navy was weak in 1945. They cannot transport enough artillery. And the weather affect Russian air force.
