what about openable hatches on tanks like in RO or SOldiers HoWW2? i mean there could be one for the mg gunner and one for the commander like here on my sig :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D stauffenberg21sd.jpg now dont ask me why its in pink, i will tell you; its the color of the german Tankbattalions and it still is today. So what do you think about the hatches? feedback.gif

If it could be done, why not. :nodding: Cheers! -edit- It would be a good thing, the mg-er wouldn't get shot so easily :naughty:

yea maybe it could be linked to the "duck in turret" button, so it doesnt only ducks you, but also closes the hatch!

Would be a very nice option for the tank commander position. While buttoned up you have less visibility but are safe inside your tank, but while you are out you have a much better view of your surroundings.

Somone else brought this up in the past and for the most part it was scoffed upon, but your idea with the duck in the turret being the close hatch isn't a bad one. If the tank commander is killed, the hatch remains open, and the people can possibly shoot the other guy inside and steal the tank. This would prevent people from going to main spawns and grabbing a tank and going to town, since that would be the only way to steal enemy tanks. The only thing is, if you want the hatch to stay closed, they'd have to find a way to make it so you don't have to hold control down the whole time as that would be just plain annoying.

Or simply reverse the purpose of the command. Instead you would have to press that turret-crouch button not to close hatch and go inside but to open the hatch and look outside. That way you wouldn't have to keep the control pressed just to maintain it closed.

This is brilliant. Ctrl for "Pop your head up and get a look around outside your tank but you're vulnerable" is a grand, simple to impliment, balanced, and fun idea.

Great for commander position, though it wouldn't work for the MG gunner.
