Satchels are issued to the Sapper class, which is tasked with laying mines and blowing up stuff (more emplaced targets, and less tanks)

Repairing stuff is tasked to the field mechanic (wrench medic) and repair vehicals.

The british sticky bomb will be an AT weapon in africa. The other "sticky bomb" ala saving private ryan is an improvised, uncommon, and last ditch weapon. normally troops have more effective equipment on hand.

Cheatham;3395645Personally commenting both in relevance to thread and what fuzzybunny said, I think there hould be more variance in the engy kit. Not just gun, knife, satchels. A map like midway or wake could be just explosives or sumtin, Foy and could be paratrooper engy items i cant think of and things like wired mines, then huge tank maps can be mines and satchels. Basically varying. And since we are seeing no engy kits in the future, how will the satchels and engy-like things be implemented(besides repair truck)?

Roger that. A whole host of goodies for the engineer depending on what map/theater we are playing. The engineer would also be the guy who get asked how to make molotov cocktails too :naughty:

But what about cutters, forgot name but starts with T.

Engineer's could snap through barbed wire lines and allow his comradetentes to move in following him? It would be an interesting item to be able to use on Eastern Front maps and African, especially Omaha.

FuzzyBunny;3394737Agreed about satchels, and I'd like to see the throwing done more realistically as well. There should be more possibilities for chucking them into bunker entrances, that sorta thing.

A 3m throw of some sort would be fantastic. I've always hated being up in a building trying to drop a satchel only to find it lands on the window blowing myself or others around me. And if you just wanted to put it on a tank, just aim up. Currently you almost have to jump onto some tanks to get it on. Be much better if you could just throw it onto 'em

Yeah!!!!! I agree too, the satchels in FH look more like cushion pillows ( would be good enough for the soldiers to rest on if they were feeling tired ;) ) which seem unrealistic. big.jpg

IMO when you fire(leftclick) you throw the satchel about 3 meters and when holding in secondary fire(rightclick) you can throw the satchel like 5-10 meters or something similar.
