Hi Guys, I don't know about anybody else, but I would like to see an expansion of the countries portrayed in the Pacific Battles. In particular Australia, it would be good to see a map around the Kakoda trail, were the Aussies in the defence of Port Morseby defeated the Japanese army in a land engagment for the first time in the history of WWII. It could play as a conquest map running up and down the track, with a capture point at each of the vital villages, Oivi, Kakoda, Isurava & Alola. intense infantry fighting in close quarters. with the re-inforcing Japanese troops coming in from the northeast and the Australians coming in from the southwest. or perhaps the fall of Singapore. Brithish, Aussies, Indians etc. there is much more to the Pacific battles than America and Japan. just my 2 cents worth what do you think? regards Rob. anybody heard anything about the lost Battalion mod? were did they go? kokodamap.jpg

Good idea, but i think the pacific maps're not too good in the bf1942, so i think it will be actual after the fh moves to the bf2

Lost battalion folded. Lost battalion offered what tehy had to BG42 and FH and FH passed since it wasnt offered exclusively to them.

So it sems to have gone to BG42.

At last thats what I remember hearing, could be wrong.

BTW, I want to see a Buna map, Raid on Port Darwin, and a few others. Just waiting on a decent Spitfire and a Beaufighter.

there's a lot that can be done with japan, depending on what new armies are made. With the existing armies the russian -japanese battle could be dene and the british battle such as around singapore and in maylay. Maybe do some battles in burma with either british or us forces also.

If other armies are to be done then australia would be a good choice, and also chinese. For example, the japananese bombed australia in 1942 so there could be a 'bombing the outback' map. THere werea lot of battles in china agaist both guerilla forces(communists) and the more standard regular army.

China did not raly have a true standing army, more like a bunch of Warloards that just happened to unite under a common foe. Remember at the time China was in a civil war and was crushed by Japanese forces. But it would free up alot of pre war japanese planes/tanks that they used on the Chinese. Would be neet to see some Chinese tanks/rifles.

I'd like to see stuff in Burma featuring the Brits. It's quite boring just to see Americans on every pacific/asia map.

I just want to see more pacific maps..... But yes. Just having americian fighting the japs in pacific maps is alittle bios. But then again. Look at how many maps FH has produced. There way up there. To ask for another map is a bit rude. Thats why I left my pearl Harbor idea up to the public. But yes more pacific maps..... Dont get me wrong as fun as those euro maps are. It would be nice to see some diffrent fronts.

well there is saipan, that was not so great though. Short of making new armies japanese vs britain or russia are the main possibilties. I dunno what fans are working on this area, but if they do aussies then there's certainly some more options.

What army they would work on agter italy and france is not really clear yet I don't think, if any. I think the aussies might be planned IFRC but not really sure.
