ah ok nice.. some of those are pretty cool. I like the black officer one. maybe as a random on skin on some maps. I suppose though having officers run around in cqb would be wierd though. The black soldier uniform is not bad either though, where was that used.

Yeah i gotta agree that it does look a bit weird having the pale green uniforms... And i really think they could be more detailed at least, or a total rework. I liked the DICE marine uniform a lot. It was nice change for the european model. Whats with the KKK-trend with Japanese in Midway? And did the US made a huge agreement with jeans manufacturers? :D

Agreed. Did the Japanese REALLY have white uniforms? Makes them stick out like a sore thumb...

The white uniforms are naval. I could be wrong, but IIRC, Japanese Marines were sailors trained in weapons handling and amphibious assault, as opposed to US Marines, which were elite infantry trained in amphibious assault, (they couldn't function as ship's crew)

The Japanese SNLF ("marines") uniforms were similar to the Army's except they had black boots and an olive drab color whereas the Army had brown boots and brown/khaki uniforms.

The SNLF functioned more or less like the USMC, except the command structure was quite different. Both were elite, highly trained, motivated and well equipped. But by the end of the war the SNLF units were just hastily thrown together where they were needed.
