Is it possible to use the swaying movements from BF2 parachutes when you control them and implement it so you can sway randomly as u parachute, but not controlled. Just use the sway motion from a parachute in BF2 and add it to WWII parachutes, it'd add to the feel of misplaced landing zones if you were being whipped about as you landed.
Also, as most of you know, nobody free fell in WWII from normal planes, they had the parachute open immediately on jump. I wonder if you (devs) can make it so you don't open your parachute, but it automatically opens when you jump out of a plane.
There is a major CON to this and that is, the parachutist would always be a sitting duck, so I don't know if it'd be worthwhile.

Yes ....but realistic!!
After all, we now know view distances can be changed so that could work in favour of the paras.
I didn't make it!
Sounds like a great idea. Just imagine floating down to earth from your JU52 onto the sands of Crete, pushed around by the 'wind' (swaying), with your fellow soldiers trying to land as quickly as possible before you become the off hit or concentration of a before AA gun... lol Great!
It's what should happen...you just have to hope that most people are not stuck with an idiot and that like all bad things/news there's an extremely higher proportion of coverage/whining about the bad part rather than the historically accurate and good part(s) which end up on the forums and make the devs delete the good. But I have faith in Lobo and his cats with nine tails...
Ooh, wow first time one of my suggestions hasn't been shot down immediately. Thanks guys.
This is a shitty idea...Moose go to bed it's 1:03 AM here on the west coast...

Great idea, and that's not a downside, I didn't think you _could_ actually control WWII parachutes? The parachutists were sitting ducks.

That was the time taken from my computer hooked to the net...Microsoft knows everything.
Whatever, I was up untill 3, so what :). Ad I know they are sitting ducks Fuzzy, but maybe they'd so much of a sitting duck, it'd deter anybody from trying to paradrop.
