I love paratrooper maps in FH but i was suprised to see only the Fallschirmjager and no allied paratroopers. It would be really cool to see a map where allied paratroopers have to attack german positions at night. I was think having based on something during operation overlord, you could have operation tonga where the British landed to support the east flank of the D-Day landings by holding key key bridges. Or the american landings west of Utah beach or the assult on the Melville Gun battery. I am not a big fan of the night maps in FH but with the BF2 engine i think night maps will be much better. One thing that would be really cool but i am not sure if it is possible would be to add spot lights, they could be manned or make them unmanned and jsut sweep a beam of light across the sky. imagin a map where you are in a plane full of paratroopers at night and you see spotlights tracing across the sky and tracers and explosions comming at you. The map would have to have an allied airfiled isolated form the flags like on Crete, having water representing the english channel would make to scale of the map very unrealistic but i dont know another way that would work. The map should have a main city with some street lights and such that the majority of the flags would be in and maybe a few flags in the hedgerows of the French country side. The Germans would get both stationary AA and mobil AA vehicles, 88's, 20mm flak 30 and 38 cannons and of course the 20mm Flakverling. Also they should get maybe 2 or 3 medium tanks. The allies would be able to spawn as paratroopers but only get close quarters or rifleman kits, the paratroopers should not be able to drop in with any of the support classes but once they get a flag they can spawn there or maybe have gliders that can carry the support classes in.

101st Airborne, 506 PIR, Easy Company, attacking Brecourt Manor. Call it Brecourt Manor - 1944. Also no city. When Allied paratroopers landed they did not land in any cities. As far as i know.

Some landed in the middle of Ste mère Eglise. You must know the famous belltower with the soldier on top of it.

well i dont think you could call it executing.. it was combat, and i dont think the germans thought much of asking if those paras who landed in a bad place would surrender.. they just shot them on sight.. if they landed succesfully or not.

The SS executed 61 (62?) British soldiers around Dunkirk who were defending the area against tanks with rifles and bayonets. They were frustrated they were not allowed to charge the British forces on the beach, so fulfilled their bloodlust by herding the Brits into a barn, throwing in grenades then machine gunning survivors. 3 or 4 people survived, who were later captured by regular Wehrmacht and sent to POW camps. I think this was the first war crime inflicted against the Western Allies by the SS.
