I think this is quite an obvious thing, but just wanted make sure :)
Make some buildings partially destroyable. Every building doesen't have to be destructable (but would be nice if you'd make a destroyable version of every building you have :)), but some buildings which are in important places in a map could be destroyable to some degree, IE. one wall could be shot with a tank and you'd make a hole in it where infantry can move forward.
Would require some more work, but you could make lots of variations of the buildings in how they will be destroyable, what part of it etc.

This is the coolest thing i've heard for a long, long time.
Make it so a destroyed wall creates a splash damage effect behind and infront of it so any infantry player close enough will get blown away. Please :)
I could see where this might come in handy on Ramelle or Berlin Streets.
I can see how this can make maps more interesting, you can have tanks actually function as infantry support (make that sherman do its job). If you make the area around MG positions destructable, tanks and people with riflegrenades should be able to blow them up. (like in BoB)

I'd like to see tanks crush the small wooden fences. I hate when your firing behind you and BOOM! Your tank comes to a hault after hitting a fence. Small trees would be fun to knock over too.

Fences, telephone poles, sandbags and small trees. A tankers worst nightmare. I think I'd be giddy for a while if I could knock down and then drive over those things. Nothing worse than engaging an enemy and hitting a tree, being flanked because you can't get around the tree fast enough and then being destroyed.
it's possible to make objects such as fences, small trees etc. be able to drive them over. There's already such objects in BF2. Though I'm not sure about the reason why there aren't more of them in vanilla BF2.
