I didn't make it!
I have a suggestion about placement damage. I have a buddy that I game with that plays a mod for Battlefront and Battlefront 2. The creators have been able to implement a extreme and realistic degree of placement damage into the battlefront engine. This is what I mean when I say "placement damage". On this mod, if you are shot in the arm, then the arm either becomes immobilized or is seriosly impaired. If you are shot in the leg, you may have a hard time walking or may not be able to walk at all. This is what I would like to see. Say you are shot in the arm and the bullet came from a good enough gun to immobilize it, then you would only be able to shoot a pistol with your other arm, per say. If you get shot in the leg, and it becomes useless, then you will have a hard time walking or may not be able to walk at all. All of the above were implemented into this mod for Battlefront and Battlefront 2, could they possibly be implemented into Battlefield 2? Maybe you could work with the medics also, to where they could patch the guy up, but he would still be impaired no matter what they did. I'll get the website of this mod from my bud, and I'll post it here so the programmers can see what they have done. I would love to see a system like this, it would really bring a much more realistic firefight into play. Thank you for hearing me out, and thanks for all the hard work and time that you put into this mod. -13Pz-Pelzer:cya:
Don't forget to take the penalties off the suicide button.
I like the idea, But keep in mind, although FH is based on realism more or less, the Dev. do have to strech it alittle to get it to work with more people, I like the shot in leg will impair your walking, but only by maybe 25% running speed.. or something like that. In general your idea about being shot in the Arm will force you to use a pistol only will cause alot complaining and likely decrease the number of people playing FH2, but to make up for it, if im correct, the Dev. plan on making it if your wounded, your accuracy will decrease X amount, they may be able to code it in where if your hit in the arm, accuracy will decrease alittle more than if you took a shot somewhere else, get the idea. I believe there have been many post dealing with this, do a search for some and it should give you an idea of what to expect. -Hoot.
