I was playing FH and took note that the guns for planes shoot perfictly straght all the time. In real life plane guns have dif accuracys too just like hand guns do, plase make the MGs on planes have small firing cons that don't move, that way we dont get people sniping with the planes from 200 feet.

real life plane guns have drop and convergence. I don't think in the BF engine this can be modelled at all. Im not sure if this is mentioned anywhere or not (it may be but looking at these forums has become sporadic lately) the 0.50 cal's seem incredibly weak vs other planes. Will this be changed?

Sniping from 200 feet? LOL, what universe do you live in? There are accounts of 20mm rounds knocking down WWII aircraft from 1000m or more. 200 feet is dangerously close in air-to-air combat.

rofl, yeah, 200ft and the explosion from the plane you shot might take you down too. but hes talking about the game. mondo, i dont think it could be that hard. just point the guns a few degrees inwards and tada! convergence!!! obvisouly not needed on the mig-3 (depends on which one, the AM-28 and Shvak need convergence) , p-38, 109 (except emil) and 110.

if you think the 50 cals are weak, try the 30mm cannon on the Me262. They should be able to rip apart a spit por a typhoon in under 2 seconds

Sorry but thats not quite correct, no WW2 pilot would fire from 1000 meters out except with 0.50's and even then it was a gamble as pilots would have there weapon convergence set for 500m or less. It would be a waste of ammo and with most planes that carry cannons only having 100 or so rounds for a cannon it would be a waste.

Even a high velocity 20mm round like that from a Hispano (I think is muzzle velocity is 820 mps) has to be arced to hit something that far out. Might work on a bomber but not on a fighter.

Yes more than anything I would like to see convergence of fire on fighters mg's. There also needs to be some adjustments to flight charecteristics. Alot of the fighters fly at the exact same top speed. For instantence the polish monoplane should not have an equal speed to a bf109. I have tailed them before at fulll speed right behind them and never gained an inch on them. I also think the zero's armor is to strong. The zero was very lightly contructed and could even take damage from small arms fire. I have also heard that it could be taken down with 10 to 12 shots from a fighters .50 cals. But anyways there is a need to adjust the flight charecteristics on planes as well as there top speeds

technically one shot can take down any plane.. [edit] i think that there is a limit on the refractor engine involving speed, and many of FH's planes are already at this....
