|HV|MacGyverWell they had the same problem in real-life. Simple how they "fixed" it: don't put a building at the ending of the runway :p That way you can safely pull up again if you came in too fast. I don't mind trees next to the runway, as long as there aren't any close to the end otherwise you have the same problem again as with the buildings, obviously :)

Well in Real Life (tm) they also had flaps, and the understanding that if a tree/building/fence is blocking the runway/line of fire of the PaK gun/Colonel's view of the pretty sunset, you just BLOW IT UP. I mean, you don't have a load of guys run around with a gajillion tons of high explosives for nothing, jeez.

Ya great idea, _IF_ done in a map that gives anyone but an A-1 top ace pilot enough space for a decent landing approach and doesn't have trees all around the frickin airfield. :-(

I would even dare to bring up the fuel debate again. As long is it's not annoying (ie. balanced) it could greatly enhance balance between bombers and fighters.

I'd love to have fuel in-game.

The thing is, on every single poll I've ever started on the subject, there's always been a majority for having to re-fuel. Even when I started a poll on PlanetBattlefield, suggesting it to the arcade-lovers of Battlefield 2!

Please give it a try in beta-testing. Give all air units fuel. If it doesn't work, remove it. If it works, keep it.
