My first question is why were the original voices that shipped with FH2 replaced with the old Battlefield 1942 ones? I loved that German voice that was in the first release of FH2. My reasons for wanting to go back to the old voices are: - Battlefield 1942's voices have an over-dramatic tone to them that sounds more like a German/American "Rambo" than a real soldier. For instance, when you accidentally go out of bounds, you hear a comical "Nazi Soldier" typecast voice screaming "Achtung! Du verlaesst das Feld, Deserteuern werden erschossen!" Or, for example, when you spot armour: "FEINDLICHEN PANZER GESICHTET!!!" It makes me laugh. What makes this voice preferable over the old ones? - New material. A radio voice other than Battlefield 1942's recycled one will give FH2 a "fresher" feel to it. I can add radio static and/or walkie-talkie effects to voices if you, the dev team, really does record unique voices. Just let me know if I can help. I really think the old Battlefield 1942 voices are kind of hurting the mod in general, since they seem so out of place (in my opinion).

Ok nice, you must get a nice Mic, and show us your voice.

And i agree, it would give something fhres to FH2, but the BF1942 voices are cool, i like them.

Personally I love the BF1942 voices, and theres not alot of people out there that have the kind of setup necessary to create high quality recordings of their voices, let alone to find someone who can speak 20 languages and have all the equipment.

Sure people could record themselves with normal desktop microphones, but who wants to hear background noise whilst they talk?

Bf1942 voices are great in Fh2. It brings back the originality and memories of FH1 :).

brerben;4771982 - Battlefield 1942's voices have an over-dramatic tone to them that sounds more like a German/American "Rambo" than a real soldier.

so, basicly what u are saying, is that if u had been for instance, on the eastern front and 3 T34 cames rushing to u, u would have been completely calm, walked nice and slow to the radio man, and start having a nice chat whit the commander? the BF1942 voices are indeed epic for this mod, they give the feeling that there is a battle going on

No. Just no.

brerben, you seem to know at least some German, weren't you irritated by anachronisms such as "Sorry, Kumpel"? Do you really consider those more realistic?

1, because they now have voice commands for all nations that FH2 will most likely create. 2, those where really unrealistic for a German soldier in the 40's. I doubt they would say Sir to their officers more like Herr Leutnant or something.

FH1 voices were better than the modern ones from bf2 used before 2.15. I believe the voices right now are place holders until they can work something better out (Some are missing, some are strange, especially the Italian ones as I hear)
