I had the idea of implement thid "Tool" as a weapon, because, in the WW2, the manual / portatile / mini periscopes were used in both sides.

In "Enemy at the gates" on the traktor factory, the russian sniper used that tool for spot a trap of the german sniper.. well, im wanna see that on FH2.

Whit the upcoming Western and the ostfront, the sniper will be able to use this weapon, for more cover, also, as a static weapon in trenches..

Im wanna known about the Periscope system of the SUBmarine VIIC (Is the VIIIC?) Uboat in FH2, i've played Silent Hunter 4, and i have the idea of implementing the periscope as ON-OFF, you undertand no?

well, it can be possible? what do you think?

PS: Give me the exact name of this tool, or its mini periscope?

PS: Post a pic please =D

Don't know if portable periscopes can be effectively implemented, since they would have a fixed height you couldn't use them everywhere, but I definitely like the idea of stationary periscopes in trenches, shouldn't be a problem to do.

maybe it can be done as handweapon? The code would be very similiar to one that binoculars have. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think that would be the problem, more the static height which would only make it useful in certain trenches.

How it should be as static (above) and a good picture what explains it's nickname 'donkey ears' (below) 952008407_80033b3d6f.jpg?v=0111aaavideo15qt6.jpg

lmao, he should have gone to optical express. Nice suggestion - but the practicality of it in FH2 might be a tool thats gives your position away more regulary than old fashioned bioncs? imo of course.

hmm well binoculars, which are part of standard kit is not used enough allready..an additional weapon, be it pick up or stationary, dont have big chances to get used more...

but: to have them stationary, overlooking the "main" attack route and placed near a mortar or arty, could perhaps encourage players that dont have bino's to actually enter it and fire a spot... this idea I like alot, and Im sure it will be discussed if it is possible to fire spots from stationary weapons (which I guess it is, recon plane). Also a tactical addition would be nice since the attacker then needs to destroy these objects to easier move into that area... idea is good on paper, if it works in pubbie mayhem, I dont know..
