Yes, I know server side modding is bad. However, the guy who came up with this on WOLF today deserves a nobel prize.

Berlin Streets.

With Banzai Charge spawnable class.

For both sides.

Think about it.

Is there something I missed here on these forums? Because I always thought that SSM was good, a way for server operators to add effectively new maps to the game, or atleast modify the gameplay of a map.

We at Hall Of Slain, the last remaining DCXtended server, have had great success SSMing maps to have dramatically different gameplay than the original.

Remember, the server operators are as important to a mod's success as the player base.

i enjoy SS modding time to time, some people might argue that we are defiling the purity of the game, but eh, all's fair in fun. especially when maybe a map's unbalancedness might have slipped through the testing and SS mod is the only way to even it out.

A certan neo-nazi FH server has given FH server-side mods a bad rap.

As someone astutely mentioned in-game yesterday, you'd have plenty of people disconnecting with -17 scores.

I just find the idea of hordes of suicide bombers leaping over rubble with swords, going BANZAI BANZAI BANZAI BOOM utterly hilarious, in such a confined space.

(And sorry for the poor wording, didn't intend to spark another SS modding debate.) :P

Yes you have.

"Server-side modding is ruin FH"

Server-side modding indeed can change gameplay for the better but also for the worst. Modifying a map without informing the public about this (auto server messages) is bad since people will think they play the original FH map and may dislike a map while it happens to have been altered with.
