alright i currently use a crappy GF MX440-se(128)mb and it isnt that bad except it lacks shaders and such that are in halo like the "specular" and i was wondering if you could help me out and tell me if GF FX5200nu has the shaders req for "specular" -DAVE
It does, but if you want to play halo I recommend the FX5600. 5200 seems to lag according to some people.
im not a picky guy hell i was usuing an mx to play halo untill i conked it out via overclocking and this will only be a temp card cus the new boards from nvidia and ati are due soon so all the prices will fall (hopefully) p.s. thanks for the help so fast BIG THUMBS UP! -DAVE
No problem dude, if you have anymore questions we will be happy to help.
The 128mb nvidia fx 5900 are really cheap and they have great performance. Try one of them.
i would try the fx 5900 but there is no use right now.. i am planning on upgrading everything in my comp getting a fresh start then maybe a month or so after that ill consider a 5900 plus they will be cheaper due to the supposed launch of ati and nvidias new boards on April 15 or so... so yea ill stick with a basic 100 dollar card for now plus this FX5200 has dual VGA's and a DVI connector cant lose -DAVE:beer:

Do you have to be a journalist (like E3) and pay a hefty price, or is this demo open to the public? I need to as, i'm just a little college freshman.;) P.S. - I live one hour from Frisco City.
yes its open the public let me get a leak to where to siggn up http://pdxlan-dc.com/nvidia/news.php lots to do, but im only going as a spectator vice BYOC, cos i dont have a monitor, less than 21". Theres going to be a lan party tournament for UT04 and BF:vietman. dont forget to read the rules if you get tickets for that.
