alright i currently use a crappy GF MX440-se(128)mb and it isnt that bad except it lacks shaders and such that are in halo like the "specular" and i was wondering if you could help me out and tell me if GF FX5200nu has the shaders req for "specular" -DAVE

It does, but if you want to play halo I recommend the FX5600. 5200 seems to lag according to some people.

im not a picky guy hell i was usuing an mx to play halo untill i conked it out via overclocking and this will only be a temp card cus the new boards from nvidia and ati are due soon so all the prices will fall (hopefully) p.s. thanks for the help so fast BIG THUMBS UP! -DAVE

The 128mb nvidia fx 5900 are really cheap and they have great performance. Try one of them.

i would try the fx 5900 but there is no use right now.. i am planning on upgrading everything in my comp getting a fresh start then maybe a month or so after that ill consider a 5900 plus they will be cheaper due to the supposed launch of ati and nvidias new boards on April 15 or so... so yea ill stick with a basic 100 dollar card for now plus this FX5200 has dual VGA's and a DVI connector cant lose -DAVE:beer:

im going to the Demo launch Of Nvidia's new Chips, in San Francisco april 12, Can't wait, is anyone else going, I let ya know what i see, im expecting a big suprise. Im hoping to see new mem like GDDR2 or GDDR3, and support for the soon to be PCI-X or PCI Express.

Do you have to be a journalist (like E3) and pay a hefty price, or is this demo open to the public? I need to as, i'm just a little college freshman.;) P.S. - I live one hour from Frisco City.

yes its open the public let me get a leak to where to siggn up http://pdxlan-dc.com/nvidia/news.php lots to do, but im only going as a spectator vice BYOC, cos i dont have a monitor, less than 21". Theres going to be a lan party tournament for UT04 and BF:vietman. dont forget to read the rules if you get tickets for that.
