i had a quick question...for future maps/theatres where there were two forces or armies fighting together, (like the polish and the british and americans fighting at monte cassino), would it be possible to have different voices for people on the same team?

It might sound a bit confusing at first, for example the "Assault" class is polish, dressed as a pole, has polish voice commands, and the "Rifleman" class is british, with british garb and accent, "LMG" class is american, has american clothing and accent....and so forth. The point being, can there be specific voice commands/accents for certain classes, and be able to have them on the same team?

I can try to clarify later on if someone has a question, i know this isn't a great explanation but i was just wondering if it's possible to implement.

maybe get "unlocks" and every time you change the "unlock" u're actually changing uniforms, etc... I know I'm dreaming... but It would rock, and the people here from FH surely are talented so I wouldn't doubt their capabilities in putting it together, it's just a matter of priorities

Different models for different classes is definitely possible, I was talking about the different voice commands earlier.

In the map Breakthrough they have British Soldiers and French soldiers on the same side, but I can't remember if they have different voice commands, in both French and English. Come to think about, I don't think that they do.

the situation in bf2 is the same as that in bf1942. many player models are possible, but each side speaks a single language.

That makes me wonder, though. Will we see proper names for the kits? For example if you play as a German that you dont see a kit named "Rifleman" but instead named Sch├╝tze for example. Or Gruppenf├╝hrer instead of "Squad Leader".

Yes (atleast for kit names, don't think that the commander / sql has the "correct" name or that they can change it to begin with).

I also think this has been said before. =p

I had no idea if it had been said before, though. In any case im happy that kits get the "correct" name. :)

But if there were both English and Polish fighting side by side wouldn't they communicate in English between each other so use only English and just add different models? After all they are all working as a team. They are in a team and can hear each other's communications, so that would make more sense. You could also have mixed English/Polish or English/Polish-accented English voice packs. I.e. a voice command usually has more than one sound associated to it and each are used randomly, so sometimes it would come out as English and sometimes as Polish. That would look strange though, as if you spawned as a British player model and spoke both English and Polish or vice versa, so it's not that much of a good idea. :uhm:
