Small list of ideas together with questions. Suggestion: The unlocks. If it is possible to code this on a way that you can put unlocks on kits that not depend on a players rank or whatever then I got a suggestion! This would solve the problem with the officer kits and SMG kits. Some officers prefer to have a rifle and therefore take the scout kit. Now what if you could use the unlock system to choose between the M1 Thompson, M1 Garand or M1 Carbine? All would be realistic. Just taking US as example. SMG's.. The US have 2 SMG's that where both used alot; Thompson and Grease Gun. Now even though most of the guns are the same players get preferences, I like the No4 way more then any other rifle. Thats just me. Now if you would use the unlock system to choose between M1 Thompson or M3 Grease Gun you would have realism and customisation. Question: I have seen alot of screenshots from these mysterious US playermodels. Is FH going to use these great models? I assume they where made by Rad and I don't know if they are finished but I would be so sad if they where wasted. For those who do not understand.. Look at your own risk!

There are more screens, just posting random one. Suggestion: Dropping weapons. I always loved this. I saw it in the Vanilla BF2 intro and I got disappointed when I didn't saw it ingame.. But not long ago the Chinese community released Tunis SP with dropping weapons! This would add so much to the quality of FH2 and I suggest it to be in this mod! But I'm sure the devs are aware of dropping weapons and I'm sure there is a certain reason that it's not ingame (lag?). Another question/suggestion: Any change to see objective maps in the Normandy release? A Brecourt manor map would make me really happy =p I had another suggestion about putting a animation in the overheating of an MG but Kev already told me thats not possible. Sadly. Not a really long thread but I can't come up with more stuff and if I don't post it now I'll forget it, haha. Thanks! Invictus.

The brecourt map suggestion was allready suggest by me :P. natty watto will maybe doing it.

I don't know... I sorta like the limited choices per map...

If I was a mapper I'd make Carpiquet Airfield.

I know, it was even suggested before that thread but nobody ever made it really clear, this was my clear view on it. EoD2 did something in that way but it only works on ranked servers and it unlocks all weapons, it's a beginning but it's not how I meant it to be.

and your suggestion is exactly what I allready suggest. Because we don't need rank to have the choice between 2 weapons in EOD2.

On the topic of unlockable weapons: Basicly, the unlocks are specific to each kit. Therefore, the US could have 2 NCO kits with M1 thompsons, but one would have an M1 garand and the other an M1 carbine as the unlock. Also, the unlocks are not limited to just the main weapon. Any part of the kit is changeable. Also, if you don't want a certain kit to have an unlock, you just leave that code out of it's .con file.

Attached is an example .con file I made that shows a teir 1 unlock that turns a boys rifle AT into a tankhunter with thermos bombs.

I think dropping weapons, while it seams a good idea to begin with, would cause a lot of confusion when pickup kits are factored in (e.g. The bloke just died and suddenly there are 2 MG34s out there. I want it, but which is the kit).

P.S. Thanks for the playermodel, heard them metioned but couldn't actually find them.

In Bf vanilla we can have the choice between 3 different weapons for 1 class.

I see your point. All that needs to be added is an extra line in the weapon section, as well as the subsequent changes at the bottom. To see this, go and look at a vBF2 kits .con file. This ultimatly means you could have a US officer kit with a choice between the 3 m1 weapons (carbine, garand + thompson) with maybe a m1917 replacing the m1911 when you choose the carbine etc.
