How about a radio command menu that allows you to call out enemy positions.. i.e. 1 o'clock.. 2 o'clock..
A nice idea but with little/no pratical value...
I've suggested more customised radio commands thousands of times before, however no one seems to be paying attention.
DC done it, heaps of other mods done it....
Of course it has practical application... As a Pilot you already have the "Check Your Six" Option.. I use it often to good effect in alerting a gunner there is something to look for.. But many times I see an enemy ahead of me.. flying past to the side.. etc etc.. not only would it add moe to the atmosphere & realism somewhat.. it would increase the ability for pilot-gunner communications.. It can't be that hard to impliment either.. and they wouldn't be radio commands the whole team could hear.. just as with the "check Your six" it would be localized to the bomber & its crew..

I like the idea and it would make gunners when you actualy have em know where to point their guns, but on a side note: Bombers vs planes are not realy even right now, B-17 still turns to fast, they trun way to fast. Remember that B-17s, Windchesters, TB-3s, and Bettys were high altitude bombers not low flying dive bombers. and they did not turn well. I think makeing them turn slower would keep players from useing them like dive bombers and flying so low to the ground. plus they need bombadears, who can move around the cambin/man use the sights to drop the bombs not the pilot.

adding level flight bomber sight would do the trick. can't be that hard to implement (a bit time consuming, no new tricks), and it would boost the bombers a lot. ways of implementing them has been suggested several times, for instance copying the strich-system used in tanks to calculate altitude, and then having various crosses for the different altitudes (some levels allow higher flying than others)

Gimp bombers more! That's rediculous! They're already pooh enough. I think FH should ditch heavy bombers and make only dive bombers. Have formations of heavy controlled by bots drop their load once in a while. Like in finnwars!
wow if your so uptight about spacific commands ether
A: learn to type fast
B:Get valentro, teamspeak or battlecom

I know how to type reasonably fast, but that involves two hands. Radio buttons can be used by pilots, who can keep one hand on the joystick and still fly while communicating. Trying to type anything while in aerial combat is suicide. Voice comms are nice, but often chaotic, (several people trying to talk at once, or not knowing who is talking, or where they are talking from) unless used by a clan with some radio discipline. Radio commands are generally most effective, because A) they're fast to send - 2 keys. B) the sender lights up on the minimap, so you know who is actually calling for help. C) they're consistent. "Enemy armor spotted" means enemy armor spotted. No confusion with different vocabulary, or when you have a server where different people speak different languages. I don't speak German, but when I'm playing German and I hear "There's no such thing as alcohol Jim"(Well, at least that's what it sounds like to me :D ), I know somebody wants a ride. D) everybody that can run the game can use them. Some cannot use voice comms due to bandwidth issues.
