I didn't make it!
Hi People! I just got an idea how to make FH2 more realistic. You could make a "radio" man class, and he is the only to use the q(quick button) to spot and report back to the commander. Because it is a great advantage to do so if you dont have noticed yet in BF2 that all players can report precise back to the commander where the tank or the sniper lies ect. The big question is if you could turn the report button off on the other classes? Kind Regards McBest
In BF2, the squad leader gets a special menu to talk to the Commander, while the non-squad leaders get a limited menu to talk to squad leader instead. So, it's definatelly possible to give different radio menus to different people.
Also, just like in BF42, there are "shout" commands, and there are "radio" commands. It would be cool if non-squad leaders could only use the "shout" commands. While squad leaders could use the "radio" commands between them and the commander.
I think we won't know if this is a good or bad feature until we've tried it in-game, but it's very interesting.
I would like to see this implemented. Only certain troops should be able to communicate back to higher HQ and call in arty and airstrikes and things of that nature. Besides those special few (probably the squad leaders) everyone should be limited to shouting between themselves and the nearest teammate.
This smells like heavy teamwork and coordination to me, and I love the idea. Radiomen communicating to commanders and vice versa. And those without the radio can only use shout commands... I would really like to see this implemented if possible. And I wish the general layout of the voice-command menu would be as in '42 as in vanilla BF2 its just terrible.
I would rather have the squad leader do it. The radio man is a just a facilitator IRL, the SL is the one who actually calls in an arty strike or whatever. So to save a role/use up a slot in a squad.
I still want to retain the squad Voip, it ads so much to the game.
What about nubs who start their own squads then lock it, making it a one man squad?
I agree. I also think that when someone in a squad spots an enemy it should only appear on the map to his squadmates and not the whole team. It should not too accurate as if his vision had a radar, like in BF2.

Yes I like this idea. But on a side note I'de like to have tanks (and other applicable vehicles) be able to share a "spot" regardless if they are in a squad. Since they had radios. But tanks in the earlier parts of the war communicated with flags and what not I believe.
Sounds good in theory, but I fear it could have issues ingame. People complain enough as it is about tanks/planes not being spotted by team mates. And that situation is hardly going to improve when you remove the ability from most of the players.
