Okay, I'm not sure if I'm going to repeat a alot of stuff already said, and that some of these suggestions might not work (either w/ fun, the game engine, etc). But I'll give it a go anyway. Maps: -Only one particular thing I was looking at: Iwo Jima. To make this level more realistic means making tunnels in the volcano and more hidden guns and bunkers underground and inside it. Also, there should be some US soldiers with flamethrowers, because they became very handy when 'cleaning' out the tunnels. (got this from History channel special on Iwo Jima) -there is a strange glitch with the water on some maps, when you try to swim the screen shakes and it once crashed the game for me. -Hangar glitch, in which you can land from any height onto a hangar an live (comes in handy on some maps, but its kind of an unfair advantage) Weapons: -Fix the Ashitaka texture, it kind of annoys me in battle. Also, it seems less powerful (increase sound and actual hit). -I know it can do this already on some maps, but I think that AA flak guns should also be able to take out pilots AND passengers of planes if hit just right (this happens on Crete, cool effect) Tanks: -maybe not a good idea, but when you are hit while in a tank, you should also take some damage (not all tanks were stopped by blowing them up, same with airplanes) Planes: -some planes in WWII had open cockpits so that escape was easier, but not ll did this (do some research, heheh) -make chance of hitting pilot/engine higher, most planes went down this way -make planes a tiny bit bigger, I'd like to see proportional size of human to planes Vehicles: -hit people with bullets/anti-tank weapons while they are in an armoured vehicle (only if you can see them through an opening) Ships: -lower armour on some ships, but increase them in numbers (but not enough to lag the server) -not sure if this is possible, but when you are just hiding from bomb attacks/just hiding underneath something on a ship (black spaces, cover, plane elevator)whatever, you clip through it all when it sinks. It would be more realistic if you sank with the ship also. *this might be a problem with the player model, not sure* -more than one deck on the ships -fix the plane elevator and its spawn. When you spawn there, you just fall if it is down and get health taken off. Also, planes blow up if they are not exactly in the center sometimes. -Submarines:Should hold more people (2-5) *and thats on the inside, not the gunners outside* Misc: -make explosion damage higher and a wider radius -aircraft bombs should make an explosion twice as big as a regular tank/ artillery shell and cause more damage Well, thats all for right now. I'll come back later if I can find more. Post what you like/dislike about these suggestions, Ias stated before some of these might not work. Thanks

Sounds like you should get busy on your own mod. Not to be rude or anything, but you ask a lot, and much of it would require extensive overhaul of the game. Also, much of it isnt even possible with the BF engine. The FH team knows what they are doing, rest assure they are working hard to create the best mod possible.

Iwo Jima:

Making tunnles with the BF engine is just short of impossible. I 'think' it can be done, but it takes a helllllll of alot of work.

Flamethrowers also dont work too well with the BF engine. It does not support volumetric sprites, so fire looks and behaves really crapily. FH will not include a shitty flamethrower, just for the sake of having a flamethrower.

Dunno about those bugs, ive never encountered them. I'll look into them sometime though.

Weapons:

Wasnt Ashitaka the hero in Princess Mononoke? I think you ment Ariska, in which case, it's all a matter of taste. There's nothing really wrong with it that I can see. I'm too busy optimizing other skins that badly need it.

Tanks/Vehicals:

The early AT-ST walkers from galactic conquest come instanly to mind. I shudder at the thought of any infantryman being able to take out a kingtiger driver by shooting through the view slits.

Ships:

are fairly low priority. They arnt important enough to warrent a whole lot of time. Currently, most of the ships are being optimized, so they wont eat FPS so much (which will hopefully allow for larger navies) Clipping etc is all part and parcel of the battlefield engine. Ships are notorously glitchy when they die, and there isnt a whole lot we can do about that. The elevator will likely undergo several changes until we can get it so it's working perfectly. Keep in mind, this is the first time anything like this has been used in a BF mod.

Misc:

Explosion blast radius and damage all depends on the size of shell/bomb. a 100lb bomb is not going to make as large an explosion as a 1000kg bomb.

I have a quick suggestion as well, and only saw it once during a search. Is there any way the AT weapons can be given a flame jet coming out the back? I suppose it's just a triviality, but it would be more realistic if you had to think about your positioning when you're firing the things. Obviously it should kill anyone unfortunate enough to be staring up the back end of the weapon, but perhaps it can somehow create some sort of splash effect (like the maligned flak+sandbag?) if fired with its back to a wall.

I suppose this could open AT weapons up to backfire abuse, although as long as FF is on, the AT guy would blast himself too, if the splash effect could work. Kinda makes me think of the lightsaber backslash in Jedi Outcast - a simple defensive move to get rid of anyone hounding your back was turned into a ridiculous offensive move when everyone started running around backwards, since the backslash was almost always a one-hit kill. I'd hate to see such a neat change implemented only to see dozens of ATs running around backwards and firing off their rockets. The flame jet would have to be pretty narrow, and only damage/kill exposed infantry.
