When I did my military service and shot with all kind of diffrent weapons I kind of noticed something. Every time we shot WITHOUT stuff to cover our ears with. This sound erupted, in our ears. I think if it's possible to make the weapons sound louder in FH. And every time you shoot a little "Piiiiiiiiiiiiip" would start, just for a second or two, you know catch the tinnitus, just after you firerd your weapon. Now that would be realism. Since in real life soldiers didn't use any protection to cover there ears from the loud volume that a rifle, SMG or MG gives. Everyone who ever firerd a weapon know that it's really noisy. And not good for your ears. :feedback:

I would support it: louder -and correct! no lame tin cans being shaken!- weapon sounds that would make your ears "piiiiiiiiip" for a few seconds would be nice. Too bad that it is impossible to make your ears piiiiiiip when a grenades or explosions happens near you. It would be neat to have a blurred vision with almost no enviroment sounds exept some vague background yelling and a piiiiiiiiiip. ohwell maybe bf2?

the biggest sound issue IMHO is sound leveling, some guns are super loud while others are almost imposible to hear. The verling is rediculous it is by far the loudest thing in the game. Some serious work needs to be put into overhauling the sounds.

A rifle is louder then a tank, so IMO they should cut down on the volume for the tanks and increase it for the small arms.

What? Do you mean tank engine or cannon? Either way, tanks need to ditch that lame vanilla sound and get a new one. Ideally, one like the Tiger from Saving Private Ryan. They should sound like the 45 ton monsters they are, not like a jeep on steroids.

The engine of course. But I'm not quite sure anymore. Since I did my military service about 55 years later then these guys when they were out in the battlefields. A modern tank doesn't sound that much. To be honest I really don't know how much a tank from the 40:s sounds like. But as I said normaly a rifle sound way louder then a tank engine (atleast as it is today).

What?! Are you nuts?! The current FH sounds are already over the limit. When flying a plane is it virtually impossible to hear your teammates on TS. Small arms fire (Thompson) already treble so much that i need to lower my volume settings so low (just not to burst my ear drums) that i can't hear other sounds anymore (grandes hitting the ground, jeep engines, footsteps, etc)

Yeah, maybe some sounds need a bit of power (carabine, etc), but increasing overall loudness is going to be a suicide! This is a game, for christ's sake, not a means to blow up your computer or damage your ear drums. You want to make "sound realistic"? Then the battleship fire should blow up your speakers and your monitor, as well as send blood rushing out of your ears. Is that what you want? Sure, why not, maybe then you will realise

Bad idea
