im curious if you guys plan on implementing the ability to pick-up deplyed MGs using the wrech, or maybe make a new weapon using the wrench animations (without the wrench actually in the hand) to kinda show "picking up" the MG. you could have a time delay for the time it takes to pick it up, like haing to take apart the tripod or something.. concerning ATRs however, will they be a deployable weapon? because i hate to think of the unrealistic ability to fire an ATR from the hip.. deploying would force soldiers to laying down to fire.. which would be more accurate anyway.. some thoughts of mine..

Played too much BFV? But seriously, MGs can be picked up by simply exiting them: they automatically go back into your loadout (unless there is some packet loss on the server, then they just disappear)

I think BrokenHeartedSociety means the MG's deployed by APC's, these stay when you exit them.

Perhaps it would be nice if they could be picked up like a kit in a future version? The same as it is now (directly useable), only that you pick it up as a kit when using the "swap kit" key. :?

On a related note, I would like to see a zoom on fixed MG nests (or even deployable ones if it's possible). It would be easier to target people if the MG zoomed in (like say, your zoomed view when you aim down the barrel of a rifle or smg).

I tend to stay away from using fixed or deployable mg's because riflemen can take me out at a distance because they have a slight zoom, and I don't.

Also, allow a certain amount of "spread" to the fixed and deployable mg's so that they aren't quite as accurate as the other guns. But whereever the spread ends up, it qualifies at a hit if there's a target.

Lastly, could you change the sound effects to the fixed and deployable mg's? The sound right now is terrible. It's not beefy or hammering like the real mg's were. Maybe you could get the right sampling from recording sounds from world war II shows on the history channel?

I would also agree that the disappearing mg's (when you drop them say...on a piece of concrete) is depressing. If it can't be fixed, everyone just remember not to drop them onto another object. :)

p.s. the japanese MG nests on the wake map are awesome! Nice job team!

Insane1actually atr's were fired standing up http://battlefield.ru/library/bookshelf/weapons/pics/atr3.jpg

Caption contest! It looked like Stalin's fears of an 800 foot tall German panzer were justified.
