Well, since there are supply drops wouldn't it be cool if there were armament drops? It would simply be a crate with four unique, unspawnable, kits on it. So, a rifle squad is on the front line and they need some heavy firepower - bingo, give the commander a kit request and they get some serious death dealers. :smokin: Kits on the Armament Drop: Machine Gun AT Weapon Kit with explosvies Heavy Assault
i havent heared that any amry in ww2 could provide this kind of air support all the time. YOu could put downed crates of that kind on Normandy Drop maps, but ammunition/health/repair/weapons- drop support is just not realistic, SO NO!!!!!
thats the same spam :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Don't take this topic off-track Heydude.
Armament drops? Meh, I don't know about that one. Perhaps if they ever make a nighttime "drop into normandy" map, these crates could spawn once when the game first starts and float to earth randomly. The players don't know where they are, but would it not be a pleasant surprise if say, you and your squadmates are sneaking through the headgerows, trying to stay out of sight, and you happen upon a crate full of extra ammo, grenades, and maybe a few special weapons like BARs and Bazookas.
I don't like the idea of having the commanders being able to drop anything a squad might need right to their postion, it's a bit unrealistic.
, I don't think being able to drop it at will is such a good idea. Perhaps maybe you could spawn C-47s that can drop extra ammo, and I guess a kit or two, but the pilot has to drop it, and he has to communicate with his teammates so he knows the best place to drop it.
No, bad idea.. An ammo drop on SOME maps is ok, but not kits. Clans will abuse it, or a commander will just drop a crate for himself, take the kit he wants and resign.
Armament drops (as suggested) = unrealistic loadouts and ammo supply = Halo. An occasional airdrop in historically appropriate maps, random in time and place, of basic loads or a bazooka, etc., might be okay. But a "goodie box" with everything to meet any contingency just isn't real.
Stay on topic Heydude. You have your own thread to push your idea.
