This suggestion was inspired by 2 things: first the two american rifle grenades shown in the latest update (I'm asuming the rounded one is a HEAT grenade and the adapted hand grenade is obviously HE), and secondly a pickup kit on crete with a rifle and 4 rifle grenades.

Currently, the brits have an AT rifle grenade that doesn't work against tanks while the germans have HE. I think that the rifleman kit that you spawn with should be equiped with HE rifle grenades, while there should be a pickup grenadier kit that has HEAT (and HE) rifle grenades. The HE would be like the grenades now (medium blast with no damage to armour), while the HEAT would act like a panzerfaust (tiny blast with lots of damage to armour). One or two grenadier pickup kits on maps with lots of armour would give the infantry a better chance of defending positions (most notably 150th box). The pickup kit could be like this: 1 - bayonet 3 - rifle (half the number of bullets like scout + engineer) 4 - HEAT rifle grenades (2) 5 - HE rifle grenades (2) 8 - bandage Only one model would be need to be made from scratch, which is the german HEAT grenade. There are various versions of this, but I couldn't find any dates for their introduction. The british HE would just be a mills bomb with a gas seal on the bottom. Both of these genades can use the current launchers and possibly the animations.

A further suggestion that would be appreciated greatly would be a change to the rifle grenade crosshair. A good place to look would be the PR grenade launchers that have crosshairs that can be used based on range to the target to represent the clip on aiming sights.

Ditto as well :P Have you tried using the british HEAT rifle grenade? It dwarfs the german's in comparisson HE wise, as well as HEAT wise. It can kill a Pz4, where as the german one if lucky can kill a truck with 2 hits heh.

Yeah :P The german one 'used' to be almost useless, but in the patch it has become much more powerful against infantry thankfully :)

I've never yet managed to kill any armour with the British grenade, and I always take potshots at Pz2s with it if posible.

Anyway, shouldn't the german rifle grenade (and by extension a rifle thrown mills bomb) be on a timer rather than an impact fuse?

No, the german rifle nade is contact fused, it is not just a potato masher like the mills bomb, which would still have a timer fuse, as would the american rifle nade.

Oh, ok. So the german grenades were impact, as were the brit and american HEAT. The mills bomb would be on a 7 second fuse and the pineapple on a 5 second. Am I right?

Assuming that even with the Dev's teams strive to create nicely balanced WWII game play, It's safe to say that not all grenades, particularly ones deployed by a rifle cartridge, where certainly not created equally. Yes, the Germans did have a inferior HE grenade compared to the British HEAT grenade. But then it's like comparing a British Sticky Grenade to a German Geballte, the different solutions to a common problem yield different results, some turned out better, some did not. Now some may say that the Brit kit is regardless the better kit, but I'm confident that in the interest of the FH2 mod, the Devteam is busting their asses to resolve said issue
