In Invasion of the Phillipenes I noticed Axis and Allies have a "Scout" class which is equipped with a rifle and binocs. Why isnt this class on more maps? This class seems like it could be a good replacement for the Heavy Mg classes. On maps such as Wake island where you cut the Bars this class would be a great addition to cut the Type 99's fromt he Axis. Just curious why not replace unrealistic classes with a class already made which adds more to infintry combat

I said Lmgs...take Wake for instance.. Allied.... Assualt- as is Close Quarters- as is Scout- Replaced Pilot kit Mines- as is Seamen- as is Axis.. Assualt- as is Scout- replaced Type 99 Lmg Pilot- As is Close Quarters- As is Expacs- as is Leave the smgs, i know some people need them. But the run and dolphndive Lmgs look rediculous. This class could replace them on maps with little coding. Some maps just get ruined by the mass of players using these weapons. Look at Failise Pocket. Could be a good map. Yet it gets old and boring when every bush has someone with an mg34 in it. Its just an arcady feature which would be better off out of FH. Between the accuracy bug and players running and bunnyhopping it just needs to go.

I, too, say the heavy machine guns should all be limited. They're too effective to be distributed freely like they are in the current version of Forgotten Hope. I think you should either make them pick-up kits, or leave them in the list but make them limited so that only a few players can "spawn" with them before they turn red in the class selection screen, like with the engineer and sniper classes in Silent Heroes. The advantage of the latter is that everyone can "spawn" as HMG infantry if it's in the class selection screen, whereas if it's a pick-up kit, it's only available at certain locations where it might not be needed as much as elsewhere.

i think you've got the HMG/MMG/LMG mixed up there.....

The problem with SH class limits is, if i've got this right, that it affects every map in the mod, and thus is a problem as every map has to be balanced accordingly, regardless of period, theatre and nations. until a proper solution with map-specific limits kits is the only way to go.

Yes, I had the HMG and LMG confused. Thanks. If that thing about the class limitation being mod-wise is true, I have to say I've changed my mind on it.

BALANCE

Classes should not be the same. The Type99 is added to give Axis a chance against Garands and M1 Carbines. They would only have bolt action rifles otherwise.
